(Teaser)
"You know, just because you can't see doesn't mean you're allowed to be an ass to everyone." I say, crossing my arms; staring at Sawyer. He smiles and looked up, even though all he would see was blackness.
"I wasn't being an asshole, Ambrosia. I was simply stating my opinion, which is something you aren't used to." he says, his voice sounding stronger with every word. I smirk and stand up. His head snaps towards me when he hears my movements.
"Would you like something to drink?" I ask. He smiles and nods. I nod, then remember he can't see me.
"I'll be right back."
I go downstairs to get us some water. I fill up two glasses and then head back upstairs. I go into my room to find Sawyer sitting with his legs under him on top of my bed. He is turned towards the wall, his hands tracing along its rough surface. I stare at him for a minute. I watch the way his back tenses when his hands go over a particularly jagged part of the wall.
He sighs and scoots over to get off of the bed. I straighten up, thinking he realized I was watching him. He traces his hand along the wall again, pausing when he hits something that was hanging or on a bookshelf. He walks around the perimeter of the room, bumping into a few things, but never stopping. He reaches me, and stops.
"We're you interested so much that you never moved, Ambrosia?" he says, his voice quiet but firm. I gasp lightly and walk quickly into the room, placing the glasses on my desk.
"I didn't exactly think you knew I was there." I say crossing my arms oer my chest, and turning to look out of my window. I feel Sawyer walk up behind me, his hands pressing into my back.
He turns me around, his eyes look as though he could see right through me, but he could see nothing. My arms drop to my sides as I take in his features. He has strong cheek bones, pale lips, beautiful eyes, and slight freckles on his nose. I take in a deep breath.
"Sawyer, why are you so close?" I whisper, as if talking in a regular voice would be loud enough to break s apart.
"I like being this close, I don't enjoy it when I'm so far away from you." he says.
"Are you this way with everyone?" I say, the thought of Sawyer being close to someone else like he was with me did not settle in my stomach very well. Sawyer slowly shakes my head, and I let out a short breath.
"No, this is only with you." he says, his lips moving slowly. I stare at them for a minute, wondering what to say next.
"Sawyer, I was wondering something." I say, casting my eyes to look at the floor. Something about this boy just causes all of my walls to crumble down.
"Yes, Ambrosia?" Sawyer says. I look up at his face once more, his eyes never leave my face.
"Sawyer, will you kiss me?"
