It was the next day, and it was the start of my first mission at the Ezra Spy Agency. It was 5:00 in the morning. I getting up early so I can start my mission as soon as possible. That and so Hannah, Nate, and grandma don't find me suspicious. I put on my suit and utility belt. I walked towards my mirror and opened it. I walked down the stairs until I was in the foyer. I saw the rest of the Elite Five and Diana ahead.

"Hey guys!" I called out.

They turned around and smiled. Maddie ran up to me and hugged me so tightly, I was gasping for air.

"Oh, Gene. I missed you so much," Maddie said, squeezing even harder.

"I... missed you... too, Maddie. Can't... breathe... hugging... too tight," I managed to get those words out.

"Oh! Sorry about that."

When she let go, I took so many deep breaths.

"Good to have you back, Genevieve." Hunter said, leaning on my shoulder.

"Good to be back," I said.

"You're here pretty early." Austin said.

"Well, I want to start my mission as soon as possible. Time is precious, and we don't have all day to just sit around and let that evil scientist get his way."

"I agree," Diana said.

"Hey Diana."

"So, are you ready for your mission to begin?"

"You bet I am!"

"That's the kind of enthusiasm we like to see." Nathaniel said.

We all walked to the Elite Five's office to discuss. The office was as big as the training room. We sat down and listened to Diana.

"Mission Eclipse is in full swing. Our mission is to locate the Solarizer and the Lunarizer, both created by the evil scientist, Dr. Travis Sun, and his assistant Mr. Griffin Moon. We need to find those two machines and shut them down," Diana said.

"Or what?" I asked.

"The Solarizer and the Lunarizer are two machines that can change the sun, moon, night, and day. If we can not find those two machines and destroy them, Dr. Sun can change time as we know it."

"Oh..."

I slumped down in my seat with despair.

Changing time as we know it? Oh dear.

"It is our job to stop the machines from activating. We have located both machines' locations," Diana explained.

"Where are they?" Hunter said.

"The Solarizer is in Altea, and the Lunarizer is in Nifl."

"What?! Altea is the hottest continent in the world." Maddie stated.

"And Nifl is the coldest continent. Why would they be there?" Austin asked.

Everyone thought. Then, the answer hit me.

"I know why. Altea's sun is always shining brightly, and my guess is that the Solarizer needs sunlight to power up. And on Nifl nights, the moon is like a blinding spotlight, and just like the Solarizer, the Lunarizer needs moonlight to power up. The Solarizer and the Lunarizer are basically using solar and lunar energy in their natural environment." I said.

"Yeah, you're right! Good thinking, Gene." Nathaniel said.

"Well, now that we know where those machines are, let's go find them. We need to get to the Solar Light Quadrant and the Lunar Dark Quadrant ASAP," Diana said.

"How are we going to get to Altea and Nifl?" Maddie asked.

"We will take the Ezra Spy jet. We might stay there for a while, so pack your bags."

"Um, how long is 'a while'? My brother and grandma might get worried about me if I'm not around," I said.

"Just tell your grandmother that you're going out with some friends and sleeping over." Austin said.

"I'll keep that as Plan A. My grandma is always suspicious of my well-being, and always want to know where I'm at or what I'm doing at all times. If I'm sleeping over at my friend's house, my grandma would call their parents nonstop to make sure I'm okay. What's my Plan B?"

"Overprotective much?" Hunter asked.

"If that does not work, just say you are going on a trip with your friends. You are old enough to be on a plane on your own, right?"

"Yeah. That's a good idea."

"Excellent. We will leave to Altea tomorrow morning. Be ready. We will be gone for three days. I will give you new gadgets for the mission tomorrow. Get a good night's rest. You will need it for what is coming."

We left the office, and I went back up the stairs to my room. When I got in my room, I took out my blue plaid and black backpack and started putting clothes in it.

Summer clothes, of course.

Since we were going to Altea, I'm packing shorts, t-shirts, and other things I might be cool in. When I was done, I took off my suit and utility belt and put on my pajamas. It was already 8:00 at night. I walked in the living room and saw my grandma watching TV.

"Hey grandma," I said.

"Hello, dear. What do you need?" she asked.

"Um... well... I was wondering if I can go on a trip with my friends to Altea... without adult supervision."

"For how long?"

"Three days."

"Did you pack your bag?"

"Yes."

"Are you bringing your cellphone?"

"Yes."

"Then you can go."

This surprised me. Usually, grandma would be like an integrator, asking me so many questions. But not this time.

"Really!?" I asked in surprise.

"Yes, you're old enough to be out on your own, and you'll get a chance to see other places of the world, which is good for your geography." she said casually.

"Thanks grandma."

I kissed her on her cheek behind her.

"Just make sure you send me a postcard." she said jokingly.

"Will do." I replied.

I went back to my room and looked out my window at the beautiful silver moon. I sighed and climbed into bed, and before I knew it, I fell asleep.

Just think, I might never see this moon again. Same goes for the sun. They'll be blocked out for eternity. But, as an agent of the Ezra Spy Agency, it is my job to protect this world, whatever it takes.
