It was the start of summer vacation and I was sitting on my bed, reading a book about astronomy. I was wearing a beige and black dress with black leggings, and black flats. Then, there was a knock at my door.
"Come in." I said.
In came Hannah.
I never let Hannah in my room, only on special occasions.
"What do you want? Can't you see I'm reading," I hissed.
"I was wondering if you knew where Natey was," she said.
"Yeah, he's in the backyard. He said he was planning something for us."
"Well, come on. If it's for us, then you have to come, too."
She grabbed my arm and started pulling me.
"OW! If you pull any more, my arm is going to snap off." I said.
She knew I wasn't going to move. She hopped on top of me and glared at me with pale blue eyes. I just smiled at her.
"Okay, fine. I'll come, only because it's from Nate." I said.
Hannah gave me a gruesome look, which was replaced with a bright smile. She got off me and I followed her to the backyard. Grandma was out with some friends, and won't be back for a while. So Nate was watching us. When we went outside, the warm weather was wonderful. I saw Nate setting up something, but didn't know what.
I hope it has something to do with astronomy.
"Hey Nathan." I said, poking his side.
He flinched and turned to me. He blushed a little.
"Still sensitive as ever I see," I teased.
"Only because you surprised me," he corrected.
"Sure. So what is this thing?"
"It's a game I made for your guys. An astronomy game."
YAY!
"So, what do we have to do?" Hannah asked.
"I placed different constellation puzzle pieces around the backyard, and it's your job to find them all. There's twenty in total, and I hid them pretty well," Nate said boldly.
"So what do we do when we find them all?" I asked.
"Put them in this gizmo here. With each puzzle piece you find, it will give you a clue onto where another piece is nearby."
"That sounds like fun!"
"Come get me when you're done. Okay, on your mark, get set, GO!"
Hannah and I were off looking for the pieces. In the trees, the bushes, the garden, everywhere.
"Finally, I got them out the house." Nate said, pulling something out of his pocket.
He looked down at the object and sighed.
"I just hope they're making the right decision." he said.
He went back inside and left us. An hour has past, and Hannah and I only found ten pieces. We were getting exhausted.
"Okay... I'm done. I'm going to take a nap, then we can finish this astronomy treasure hunt." Hannah said, panting.
"Good idea." I said.
We went back inside and we went in our bedrooms. Then, I saw something on my bed. It was a package from the Ezra Spy Agency. Never heard of it. I opened the package and inside was a hand mirror with blue gems on it.
