Finally we get in the car to go home. Mark seems to know something us wrong.
"Hey, Signe called, by the way." He says. I jump to attention and pull my phone out to text her.

Hey, Signe! I forget what time it is in Brighton, but if you can talk, I'm free all weekend!
She replies immediately, which I didn't expect.

Oh hey, Claire! I can talk anytime for the next 3 hours, Shannon, Myah, Sarah, Carson and Cat miss you, they asked me to start sending their letters to you, so expect some of those on the way!

Aww, sweet! What's the news on Daddy? You haven't been calling me to read his letters or give me updates. Also, I will call you in a few minutes once we get home.

Oh, he is fine! Sorry I haven't been calling, I have been very busy lately, it's an oops on my part. I'm sorry. He misses you a ton, I'm pretty sure his next free day is Saturday so he might be calling you.
I breathe a sigh of relief and show the text to Annabelle who smiles and gives me a hug from the seat next to me.
One less thing to worry about for now.

Okay! I'm glad he is doing well! Thanks for the heads up! Don't get too busy or you will get sick. I will call all you in a few minutes we just got back to Mark's.

With that I turn off my phone and leap out of the almost as soon as it unlocks, but not leaving until thanking Mark for the new Haircut, with a nod and a smile he sends me on my way, seeming to know why I'm so excited.
I am immediately greeted by an excited Bambi and Bean. Amy looks around the corner and smiles her gorgeous smile. Feeling bad, I move the pups away with my feet and run up to Amy, give her a quick hug and a brief greeting before running up to my room to the computer.
Quickly, I type in the password and open Skype. Signe is online, of course, but so is Shannon and Carson. I send them both a fast message saying I will talk to them in a few minutes, Shannon replies instantly like she always does and Carson leaves me on read like usual, he will be waiting patiently behind his computer, waiting for the call.
Tapping into Signe's contact, I send her a fast message giving her a heads up before I call.
ClaireSepticEye: Hey, Signe, you ready to call?
Wiishu: Sure let me just put my shirt on. 😂
ClaireSepticEye: Kk😂😂😂

Her smiling face joins me onscreen, though my webcam is currently off so she can only hear my voice.
I giggle. "Ready for face reveal?" I ask, holding back a giddy laugh.
She nods, and I click the button allowing her to see my face and her hands fly to cover her mouth. A barely audible gasp escapes her lips, causing me to lose it. I laugh for a full 5 minutes until Signe registers what I did.
"You cut it," She says, slowly.
"I did. Do you like it?"
She nods, earning a smile from me until tears escape her eyes and her mascara starts to run.
"You look like your father..." she mumbles.
My smile softens and I nod. "I know."
A little while later she facepalms. "I forgot to tell you! You're coming for a visit I 2 weeks, everything is already worked out with Mark!"
I stare for a moment before screaming in excitement, Mark calls up to make sure I'm okay but I am only laughing and squealing so much that I cannot reply.
We talk for around 45 minutes before Signe has to go to a meeting with Robin. I wave my goodbyes and take this opportunity to check and see if Carson and Shannon are still online, a shocking surprise hits me in the face as I realize that the whole squad is online and talking on the group chat.
KittyCat: You're all high. Except Sarah because she is drunk as hell.
SarahIsntCool: HELL YEAH YOU KNOW IT

Everybody's faces fill the screen divided into 6ths. Each one freaking out when they see my new hair, complimenting me and saying I look better with short hair. It's amazing to see the faces of my friends again.
"Guys! I have a surprise for you! It's not complete yet so you have to wait, but you'll see it soon!" I squeal
I rip my headphones off my ears in straight up pain as I hear each one of the, scream as loud as they can, it doesn't match my top volume (because I'm LOUD) but it gets up there, with all 5 of them screaming at me to tell them what the surprise is.
I won't tell them though, I won't tell them that I'm the surprise.
It's official. I'm going back to Brighton.
