Two days later, Lily was released from the hospital, still wearing the sling around her broken arm. They said to keep it on for about five weeks before coming back to get it checked again.
Mark, however, was not so lucky, for he has to stay even longer due to his injuries being more severe. Each day, Lily would visit whenever she could, especially today, since it was his last day before he was cleared. Only downer, was that he basically had to sit around at his home for at least three weeks.
Lily helped him with her good arm into the wheelchair next to his bed after helping getting him dressed back into his regular clothes she grabbed from his house.
"Feeling any better?" She asked.
"Kind of...still really sore and stiff." Mark said. "Really gonna hate not moving, though..."
Chuckling, she wheeled him out. "And I'm gonna laugh the whole time."
Mark laughed. "Glad it'll be entertaining for you, asshole."
Getting out to the ambulance, she pushed him up the ramp attached to the back doors. Staying in there with him, the paramedics shut the doors, driving them back to his house.

When they got back after a somewhat bumpy ride, the paramedics helped Lily get Mark out of the ambulance, rolling him down the ramp.
"Got your meds?" Lily asked.
"Yes.." Mark groaned. "I have all of them."
"Just making sure."
Thanking the paramedics, they left the house, Lily getting them inside.
"Man it feels good to be home." He said. "Despite me being in the wheelchair..."
Lily smiled. "Well you're still home."
"I know." He gestured to the living room. "I wanna watch some TV."
Getting situated, she helped him sit down on the couch before grabbing the remote, turning it on.
She sat next to him. "This sling already itches..."
"I'm surprised you're doing this considering..." Mark said, looking over at her. "you really don't have to."
"Yeah, well I am. So suck it up." She said with a smirk.
Mark scoffed. "You're always stubborn."
"It's a talent."
"Not surprised." He said.
Lily suddenly moved closer, being careful not to move the cushions too much, gently leaning her head on his shoulder. "Does this hurt?" She asked as she felt him tense up a little bit.
Relaxing, he shook his head very lightly. "No. Not at all."
Smirking, she suddenly looked up at him, like everything else faded away until it was just them. Her heart started thumping, moving again. Mark watched her every move, swallowing hard when she stood in front of him.
"What're you doing?" He asked, his voice cracking, watching her straddle his legs, barely touching them.
"It's okay.." Lily said, placing her good hand on his chest. "If you want me to stop just say something."
When he didn't say anything, she touched her forehead to his. She didn't do anything for a minute, just staying like this, wanting him close to her. She didn't want to push it, didn't want to hurt him more than what he already has been through.
Mark tilted his head up as much as he could without hurting his neck, kissing her on the lips, his hands aching to touch her. It was like Lily knew, moving her hand down to grip his, her hair covering their faces. He wants to hold her, to feel every inch of her on him, but his damn injury is holding him back, and it makes him furious.
Deepening the kiss, she smiled against his lips, moving her hand up his arm to his shoulder. Giving in, he wrapped his arm around her waist, ignoring the pain shooting up his back. He didn't care about that, he only cared about who was in front of him, who was making him go crazy for more.
Giggling, she drew just a breath away, seeing the lust and need in his dark brown eyes.
"I love you." Mark said, his voice quiet yet deep, vibrating her ears.
Leaning in, she kissed him again before backing the same distance away. "I love you too."
A few seconds later, she stood back up when she heard a voice. Snapping her head to the right, she didn't see anyone else.
Mark raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
"I..I think I heard something over here..must've been the neighbors.." She said, shrugging it off when it came again, but this time, she recognized it.
It's me.
Eyes widening, she started breathing heavily. "No...you're not..here!!!"
"Lily what're you talking about??" Mark asked, panic in his voice. "Who's not here??"
She felt as if she's going insane. "You're not real....you're not real..."
"Lily, what the FUCK is going on?!"
I'm real...I'm in your head...Lily.
She clawed her hands through her hair. "NO!!!!!"
Mark tried to talk to her again, but he was tuned out as she fell to her knees, a searing pain going through her head.
"Get...out!!!!" She yelled. "GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT!!!!!!!"
She heard a laugh. Never. You will be like me.
Feeling the pain get worse, she couldn't help but scream until she suddenly passed out, but before she did, she mumbled words she never thought she would use again.
"Damn you, Natemare..."

Mark ended up calling the police, explaining to them what happened before they took her unconscious body away. He felt the guilt settle in, he felt the heaviness in his chest. He didn't want to do that to her, but he had no choice, suddenly feeling unsafe until they took her out. Wheeling himself back over to the couch after getting some water, he didn't even bother to get up on the couch.
But suddenly..as he just stared at the TV, not even bothering to pay attention to what they were saying, he heard a voice in his own head...sounding uncomfortably like his own...
Take revenge...
To his surprise, he smiled, taking the idea like a desperate man, feeling different. Feeling stronger.
Feeling...
Darker...
