36: The Second Wedding

Catherine was freaking out. It was the day of her second wedding. Brie, Nikki, Renee, Stephanie, Charlotte, and Maryse were with her. She looked at them, "What if-", Maryse grabbed her, "Don't think like this. You are more excited, more freaked out, you're happier. Everything is going to be fine.", Catherine nodded and her eyes were wide, she couldn't help but think, What if. Nikki had sent John a text message and Finn was coming. He knocked on the door, and Nikki smiled, "Let's give them sometime.", the girls left out the backdoor and Catherine went over to the door and opened it. Both their backs were against the door and they were holding hands near the door handle. "What's going on, love?", she shook her head, "I'm being stupid. What if I screw this up? What if you decide you don't want me anymore? What if this doesn't work out?", Finn squeezed her hand and brought it up to his lips and kissed it, "That's not gonna happen, love. I have loved you since I was just a small Irish lad in America for the first time. I have lived you since I saw you screaming at Peyton and Billie for being late. I've loved you since you came to train us but broke down in Hunter's arms because of Adrian. I've loved you through it all.", she smiled, "I've loved you since you were stuttering to tell me your name on your first day. I've loved you since I could remember knowing you. I want this to work, I want us to last. I love you forever and always. Even when we are dead and gone and only our memory lives on.", he smiled and she sighed, "Let's pray.", and they did. A WWE photographer was taking pictures of the day and she smiled as she took pictures of the pair in their moment. She sighed, "Let's get married.", Finn laughed and they went back to their designated areas. She smiled as the girls came back in and the door opened, "Someone told me you were a bit disappointed last night.", Catherine turned quickly, her dress flowing as she did so, "April.", and the two friends hugged. Stephanie softly smiled and so did the other girls. Catherine was friends with most of the women's locker room, she has been since she's been part of it; but her relationship with April Brooks couldn't be replicated. They were tag team partners, best friends, and they complimented each other in the ring nicely. "I've missed you. You'll have to stop by my house when you get the chance or even the other way around. I didn't hear back from you, I didn't think you were going to make it.", April smiled, "You could get married 5 times and I'd come to every wedding.", Catherine smiled, "This is going to be the last one, I promise.", and April smiled, "I know. I knew when we went to NXT that one night and he was following you around like a lost puppy.", she chuckled and shook her head, "Whatever.", April laughed and they bumped hips and did their little handshake. Alexis and Nia walked in, "Are we ready?", Catherine smiled, "I feel like this is my first WrestleMania.", the group laughed and they left to get lined up, Shawn and Catherine hiding in an office so Finn wouldn't see her dress. April went to sit down and the bridal party got together in their pairs. Catherine took a deep breath and Shawn smiled at her. "You seem nervous, excited, scared, and happy at the same time.", she looked at him, "This is totally like a WrestleMania moment.", Shawn laughed and she smiled before they heard the song change. It was time. She was going to become Catherine Devitt and Davina would be Davina Devitt after today. Catherine was scheduled to show up at SmackDown tonight and attack Charlotte so they wedding happened at Noon and would only last until 3. Then it would be time to go to the arena in DC and get ready to make a bang. They didn't use the church at their house, but they would for other things. They used a church in Brooklyn near the arenas. She smiled and they began the walk. Finn tears up and she gave a soft smile. This was what she wanted. She wanted to be with him until her grey and wrinkled days. She wanted to be Catherine Devitt. She wanted to have his kids when the time was right. She wanted her to be his and him to be hers. She loved him with all she had and she knew he loved her as well. He was her rock, her light, and her heart. She loved him, wrestling, Davina, animals, and God so much that it was a wonder how her heart contained it all. She smiled as she saw Davina standing with Alexis and Aj's son, Albey with him. She winked at her daughter and Davina smiled but knew she couldn't go to her mom just yet. Finn took her hand and kissed it and she smiled at him, "You look beautiful, love.", she smirked, "You look quite handsome, love.", she turned and gave Alexis her flowers and she looked at Davina, who ran over and Catherine picked her up. Stephanie and Linda shook their heads but didn't say anything. This was her big day,.  both of theirs. The minister started the wedding but Catherine nor Finn were listening. They were just starting at each other. They heard giggles and they looked at the ministry, "What? Sorry.", Catherine blushed and looked down and the guests all laughed. Catherine rolled her eyes, "Your vows.", Catherine nodded, "Right. Sorry.", Finn looked at her and she licked her lips.

Catherine softly smiled, "I'll start. You look a dab bit nervous, love.", the church filled with laughter and she giggled. She smiled up at Finn, "Fergel Devitt, what can I say? Except the Earth needs more men like you. When we met, you were just coming into NXT. I was in a relationship at the time, but that doesn't matter. You quickly became one of my best friends. I knew you were meant to be a part of my life, I just didn't know the severity of it. God blessed me with you.", her eyes teared up and she rolled her lips, "You've seen me heart broken, twice, and you didn't run away. If anything, you forced me to keep you around.", she licked her lips and gave a soft smile, "You believed in me when I believed that no-one else did, when I didn't believe in myself. You picked me up from a 10 foot hole and pulled me back to level ground. You didn't give up on me, when that was all I wanted to do.", she smiled, "You loved me when I didn't love myself and you helped me understand that I was worth loving and that I needed to love myself.", she nodded, "Fergel, without you, who knows if I would of learned to breath again. Without you, I wouldn't have showed up at a show that had an meet and greet and I would have never met the little girl that calls me mom. Without you, I wouldn't have found my mini me.", Finn smiled as Catherine dabbed her eyes and Davina kissed her cheek, "Without you, I would have never made it back to who I am and where I belong. Honestly, without you, I would probably be dead. I love you Fergel Devitt. I loved you then, I love you now, and I will love you forever. You are mine forever and I am yours. Because I am sure as hell not doing all of this again.", the crowd laughed and so did the bride and groom. Finn smiled and wiped her cheeks. It was his turn.

"I first saw you three weeks into my America stay. You were working with some of the girls on submission moves. One of the guys ran by and I stupidly asked who you were, I knew of course, you were Catherine Winters. You hadn't decided to go by Michaels yet. I don't remember who it was but one of the guys stopped beside me and I told them then, 'I'm going to marry her someday.', nearly 6 years later here we are.", Sami stepped around, "Yeah, that guy was me.", the church was laughing and she smiled. "I've loved you for 6 years, well more than that I loved you when I was a young lad just watching wrestling.", she chuckled and smiled at him, "But then I met you and I loved you even more. I have seen you at your absolute worse and I've seen you at your absolute best, and Catherine, I wouldn't change a thing. I know our path was a bit hard and filled with drama by it was the path that was best for us. Our little girl, Cat, we weren't officially together then, you asked me if it was okay to adopt her and I knew then, this was the best way for our family to start. I love you and Davina so much more than words can explain. I loved you then, I love you now, and I will love you forever.", Catherine and Davina were smiling and both adults looked at Davina, "If there is no one that objects.", it was silent and the woman smiled as she seen the blonde hair of Dolph Ziggler in the back, "Then you may now kiss your bride.", the two kissed and Catherine smiled into it before they turned to Catherine and the priest nodded. Both adults knelt down, "Davina Hickenbottom, we thought it only suiting that since you call Finn, Dad, and me, Mom, and my last name was changing, so should yours. We thought it would be amazing that you be named Davina Marie Devitt. So that you know that even though things are changing, you're still our world and our little girl.", Catherine and Finn had a little ring and Finn and Catherine smiled as they looked at the little girl, "Davina, we promise that no matter what happens, if another baby is just around the corner or if it's going to be a few years. You will still be our little girl and we still still make time for you. We promise.", Davina nodded and hugged her parents, holding some tears. The church watched in tears and awe at the little family and the stood up, "I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Fergel Devitt with Davina Devitt.", the church clapped and cheered and the little family left the church and the group made their way to the reception room at the Manhattan Center. The reception wasn't going to last long, because everyone needed to travel. The whole crew was going to DC and then they would be on their way to New York and then Philly for the Royal Rumble.
