Harley blinked as he gazed at the early morning sky, which had been painted over with a million shades of red and orange. A few rays of sunlight peeked out from the horizon and gently winked at him. A gust of wind sifted through the grass, causing the hill to ripple and wave like the water in an ocean. He stared up at the tinted pink clouds, lost in his own thoughts.
It was strange how he never would've thought things would change so much.
As the sun stretched up and rose bit by bit, the town started settling back into its normal routine. The chatter of his neighbors soon returned, and the busy streets were crowded with both people and creatures once more. After a few minutes passed, Harley sighed and pushed himself up. Now was probably the time to set his father's bed on fire.
