Skylar P.O.V.

"You can go back to class, unless you want to go home," Mrs. Teressa says. She knows my mental record. But I'm comfortable in Kayden's arms. I stop and begin to panic at that thought. This is dangerous; he can't be trusted. Ever. Again.

At that exact moment, however, Lucas walks in, sneering at me. I stand up quickly and run out of the nurse's office. I can't deal with this. I send a text to my mom:
Going to mall. 2 much stress. Kayden is here & Lucas...Need a break. Love you.

I then run to my car and hear someone running after me. I turn to see Kayden and he growls out,
"You left without saying goodbye, princess. That was very rude." I sneer at him and, stalking up to him, I slap him as hard as I can across the face. I try to yell, "I AM NOT YOUR PRINCESS!!" but it only comes out weak and unsure, like I'm asking him. He looks at me with pain in his eyes as he touches his cheek gingerly. I apologize roughly then turn to walk away, starting to cry. I need to get to my car before I break again.

I feel a touch on my shoulder, and I jump, spinning around. He's holding his hands up, trying to show he's not going to hurt me. I growl and grab a pen sticking out of his hoodie pocket, then snatch his left hand and begin to write my kik: skykitten, and my number: (876) 437-1876. I then write TEXT ME and walk away.

When I get in my car, my phone goes off with 3 notifications: 2 messages and a kik. I open the kik first and see hello from Mr. Superman. I answer who are you, then go to my messages. I have one from my mom and one from an unknown number.
Mom: Okay. Kayden from 4 years ago?
Then from Unknown: Hello. It's Kayden.
I answer him, Did you kik me? right as Mr. Superman answered: I am Kayden
I smile tightly and text back: Okay then text me on here. Not my #.
OK
BRB about to drive.
I hit send right as he opens my passenger door and climbs into my car.
"Where are we going?" he asks sweetly.
I start the car then buckle up and whisper, "The mall."
He groans and buckles his seat belt.
