MLP(My Little Phoenix)

MULAN'S POV

     Yes, I know, my name is Mulan. I get made fun of for it, but I wouldn't have my name any diffrent. Why you ask. Well one I love Disney and two my father named me. His family was chinese, but my mother's is spanish. My father died about a year ago, and my mother was killed by her brother. I don't talk to either families because of fear that I would have to move again. I try and avoid shifters as well. My father's side of the family were hawk shifters and mom's was eagle shifters. So I'm a hybrid and hated by shifters. I somehow ended up being a phoenix. I love it, having no bounds when flying straight up into the sky. It's a great and the feeling is a peacefull bliss.

     If you're wondering I'm a mix of spanish and chinese, so dark skinned, I have, weirdly enough, white hair, and peircing gray eyes. My features are a bit weird knowing my heirtage. I have tryed to dye my hair a few times and every time it went back to white. I tryed contacts and my eyes melted them. I tryed everything, even went to a specialized doctor for it and he just looked at me like I had three heads so I ran out of there. He was a pack doctor so I couldn't chance it. "Mulan! I'm heading out!" my adopted moher yelled from downstairs. She's a good mom but I miss my real one.

"Ok! Have fun, but not too much fun!" I joked with her. She was dating a guy named Jakob. I havent met him but Marrisa said I'm gonna meet him this weekend. I hope he's nice to her.

"Ha ha very funny," She said sarcasm lacing every word. I raced downstairs and gave her a hug. She was a friend of mom's but never knew about her shifter side. I loved her though, she was nice to me and since she couldn't have kids of her own she took me under her wing, no punn intended. "Remember this weekend have the house clean for Jakob, you have to make a good impression on him remeber," She said warning clear in her voice.

"I'll be good I swear," I promised. The door bell rang we looked eachother. He was supposed meet Marrisa at a fancy resturant. I sniffed the air. Shifter. I opened the door and there stood a shifter. He was sniffing the air and that scared the crap out of me. He's gonna smell my mixed scent and get the wrong idea.

"Jakob! We were supposed to meet at the resturant downtown," She told him while recovering from the shock. He nodded.

"Yes, I remember, but you said you had a duaghter and I couldn't wait to meet her," He said in a deep, melodic voice that screamed power. He was eyeing me carefully.

"Jakob meet my daughter Mulan," He smirked.

"Hello sir, nice to meet you," I was eyeing him just as closely as he was me. "Come in," I said as I stepped aside to let him in. He warrily stepped over the thresh-hold of the house. "Don't worry I don't bite," I said low enough it was only me and hm hearing it. He smiled a cautious smile.

"She is human, how is she your mother,"

"Step, both my parents died"

"Oh,"

"yeah," Thats when mom came back.

"You two getting along?"

"Yes mother," I said as I kissed her on her cheek. She gave me a wink and I sent a warning glare to Jakob and then ran upstairs to get ready for diner. How could this happen. I warned her on these tyes of men. I ran to my window and threw it open, I stepped outside and shifted. My form is smaller than an adults because, like humans, it grows with me. My bird is relatively small.  My wing span is about that of an Eagle, for now. When I become 18 my bird grows to it's final size and you never know how big that can be. Some have been as big as dinasours some as small as regular birds. Mine is already pretty big and they say your bird either stays the size it is or grows. After flying for a bit I flew into my room and got dressed quickly.

"Mulan!" Mom called up to me.

"I'm coming!" I called back. I ran downstairs to see Jakob staring into space. The link. Oh dear no, I have to stop it.

"Jakob! Come sit down!" I called over to him. He looked up startled. I smilled and he frowned. I broke his concentration and thus breaking the link.

"I don't know if you like tuna, it's all we have at hand. You kind of ambushed us," Mom laughed. I luaghed with her. Jaoko still looked out of it. Mom noticed. "Jakob, dear, are you allright?" She asked worry lacing her voice.

"I'm fine, I think I should go now. I need to check on my animals at home," Mom looked disapointed.

"Let me walk you to your car Jakob," I suggested. He was about to protest when I pulled him out the door.

"What are you?" He spat at me.

"One, watch it. I am the only person who can make you go from having a mate to mateless in five seconds. Two, I don't tell anyone that," I informed him. He looked taken aback.

"You will leave my mate alone," He growled. Oh I forgot to mention My mom is mate to big Alpha over here. Yeah, that's not good for me. I have to find out what pack he's from. I know he won't tell me so I'll just follow him.

"Are you suggesting I leave my mother because a mutt wants me to?" I growled as my body began to shift. I closed my eyes to calm myself down before I blew my secret.

"Yes," He looked as if I were the threat.

"Forget it. She is my mother, and I would never let anyone hurt her. I would die before letting her get hurt," I had a steely glare that made even him submit. "Now leave before I keep my threat," With that he got in hi car and left. I went back inside after composin myself.

"Everything ok dear?" Mom ask.

"Yeah everything's fine. I'm just tired," I said as I walked upstairs to shift. I opened the window and shifted. After taking off I followed Jakob's car all the way to his pack around fifteen minutes away from my house. He is Alpha of the biggest threat known to phenix, The Pride Rock pack. They think they own all super naturals. I hid in the trees and listened into the Alpha's conversation with, who I'm guessng,his beta.

"Keep an eye on Marrisa's daughter, she's no human." The beta nodded confused.

"But Marris is her mom and she's human,"

"Yes, I know, but marrisa is her step mother," The alpha informed. "Get her sur name. I want to know who her parents are," The beta nodded and ran off to do his task. I started t take off when someone else came and spoke to him.

"Alpha, someone saw a phoenix south of the border" The voice was female.

"That's near marrisa's house," Jakob seemed alarmed by this.

"It lookd like it entered the border and was following you,"

"Thank you mae, you are dismissed. Oh and find and kill this phoenix," Mae nodded and ran off. I have to get out of here before someone spots me. I took flight just as Jakob turned twards where I was. "You," I landed and shifted to my human form. Jakob gasped.

"Are you gonna kill me?"I asked with a smug look on my face.

'Yes, I am,"

"What will Marrisa say about you killing her one and only daughter? I'll tell you what she would reject you and move on," I spat. This made him angry and then he realied I was right.

"Who are you're parents?" I shook my head. You'll never find out. Oh, and I'm a hybrid not a full phoenix,"With that I shifted and flew into the night sky. I landd in my room to find Marrisa pacing. She looked over at me and gasped.

"So it is true," She sounded astonished.

"What?"

"Your mother, when she dropped you off, said that you would be a great phoenix one day. She was right," Marrisa said with pride.

"So you knew the entire time?" I asked. She nodded.

"And I know you followed Jakob to his pack," I sood there astonished that she knew. That's when we heard the door break open and shouts to find Marrisa. I looked over and saw her nod. We walked out right as they came up the stairs. "And, just so you know, I'm a full blooded phoenix," Jakob came from the back and saw Marrisa standing infront of me ready to defend me. He laughed nd ordered two of his men to grab her. As they came forward mom shifted into a huge burning beautiful Phoenix. The men took aim with thei guns and..............
