Authors note I forgot to mention I just put myself in cuz it was easier for me but you can fill in your info. 😁
I grab two pieces of paper from him. One was a note. "If you remember me you'll remember all the fun times we had." It read. I looked at the other thing. "Oh my god." I say as I cover my mouth with my hand. "What? What is it?" "My best friend from Yavin. The one I've thought of everyday since I left. He's here on this base right now and he's waiting for me to find." I look back down at the picture of us. I was 6 and he was 7 when this was taken. We were on the floor playing with toy ships, using our mouths to make the noises the ships produced. I smile at this then look at BB-8. "Do you know where I need to go for the next clue?" I ask him. He nods and replies "Your room should have the next clue."  I immediately start running. As I get to the red squadron hallway I slow down and see a man standing in the hall. He stuck his hand out for a high five. I have no clue who he is but I decided to high five him before I go to my door and take the papers off the door. "We loved playing outside. Come on out." The note read. The picture is us running around with each other in what looks like a game of tag. I smile down at the picture pocketing those as well and head outside the base. There right outside the Bay Area was another set of clues. "In the woods the trees we climbed. Won't you like to do it one more time?" The note reads. The picture of the two of us looking down from a tree. "KAYLA!" Ana yells running out the Bay Area. "Ana! Good you're here where is the tallest climbing tree?" "What? Kayla we've been running around the base looking for your mysterious best friend who might not actually be here. Why? Do you think they still want to be your friend are you desperate to know where they've been or why they hadn't come save you from the scavenger life of tattooine? Kayla just think for a second about what really could be happening here." I stare at Ana, someone who has been with me for years, as she tells me to just give up looking for him now. I shook my head. "I'd rather live with my mistakes then wonder about my what ifs." I tell her. She sighed and point to the right of the base. "There's a place that way near the small mountain people like to go climbing." She reluctantly tells. "Well then let's go." I say with enthusiasm. I take off running again in the direction she pointed towards. I come to a clearing with lots of good climbing trees on the outskirts. I see my next clue pinned to a tree. "Come on up. I miss you." Read the note. "I miss you too." I whisper to myself. The picture was of the last time we saw each other. We were hugging and not wanting to let go. Tears streamed down my face as he held his back in a way to keep strong for me. I look up the tree and notice that I could get to the top of the mountain if I climbed all the way up. The lowest branch was taller than me. I jumped up caught my hands around, used my feet to walk up the tree, wrapped my legs around the branch and flipped upwards so I could climb the tree. I climbed as fast as I could not wanting to keep him waiting. I get to the top and see him standing there with a big grin on his face. I study him as it's the first time in 14 years I've seen him. I notice him do the same and then I hear his voice. "Kayla." I nod with happy tears filling my eyes. "Poe."
