"POE!!" I scream as I run towards him. He held his arms out ready for a hug. I jump into his arms and hug him. He picks me up and swings me around, all while we laugh. He puts me down and gives me the biggest grin. "I've missed you so much Kayla." "I've missed you too Poe." I say with tears starting to form in my eyes. "Hey no crying now ok?" He said with a hint of worry in his voice. I nod and smile at him. I hug him again and only let a few tears slip out. He quickly wiped them anyways. "I can't believe it's been 14 years." "I know it's been so long so much has changed." "As long as we are still friends I don't care how much our lives have changed." I hug him tighter still. "Hey any tighter and I won't be able to breathe." He says with a chuckle. "Oh sorry." I say sheepishly. "It's fine Kay. We need to hang out and catch up. Are you free tomorrow?" "Hold on let me check with my boss." I spin around and look back at him. "Hey boss am I going to have any work tomorrow?" He lets out a loud laugh. "I think you'll be free tomorrow." "Good now I need to tell my friend." I spin back the other way and smile at him. He just laughs at my silliness. I start to shiver not used to the cooler weather on this planet. "Let's head back in." Poe suggests noticing my shivering. I nod my head in agreement and we start to climb back down the tree. We hit the bottom to find Ana and BB at the bottom. "Hey guys." Poe says. "I can't believe you didn't tell me your best friend, before me of course, was Poe Dameron." We both laughed at Anas comment. "I'm pretty sure I'm still Kay's best friend. She can't replace me." Poe states smugly. They both look at me. I put my hands up and shake my head. "I'm not getting into this." I hear back into the base before they can say anything. I heard their footsteps running up behind me to catch up. I laugh and take off down to my room I open and close the door behind me and start laughing again. I didn't even notice BB was in the room with me until he hit my foot. I looked down at him. "Oh hey bud. I didn't notice you there. What's up?" I ask the little cute droid. "Can I stay here tonight? I want to see who the girl Poe is always talking about is." "He talks about me? What does he say?" I ask in confusion. "It's usually stories from when you were younger and that he misses you so much." "Oh ok then well of course you can stay here. But I'm going to bed so goodnight BB." "Goodnight Kayla." I slip under the covers of the bed. I sigh in contentment of having a real bed for the first time. My eyes close and I slip into a deep slumber.
