*Allyison's POV*
The sun was flitting through the barely open window. It was strangely peaceful, despite a kind stranger taking pity on me once again the way Lucas did. I looked next to me and saw Stone instead of Lucas and for some reason that made me happy. I pushed the feeling away because I barely knew the guy and for all I knew he was just as bad if not worse.
I laid there unmoving because I was a little scared because I felt a little uneasy part of that was because Lucas wound up being a real dick and now I was lying next to Stone contemplating my life as I knew it.
"Morning Allyison." Stone said as his eyes fluttered open.
"Morning Stone." I said trying not to let him know deep in not so good thoughts I was in.
"You alright Allyison, you seem a little sad." Stone said catching on to the fact that I sounded and felt like I was a million miles away.
"Kinda sorta." I told him not exactly wanting to say much, because he's helping me and being nice to me and I don't want to burden him even more with my shitty life and stories.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked me with his eyes alight with concern.
"I don't think you really wanna hear anything like that, cause it's a long crappy story." I said not exactly sure if I should tell him.
"I wanna know." He told me with a smile that let me know he was serious.
"Okay, well, it really honestly started when I left Phoenix. I was sixteen when I got kicked out by my mother for being as she put it a disgrace. My father didn't want me to leave but he refused to stand up to my mother so her decision stood. I spent a lot of time down in Phoenix before I went and left Phoenix to come here. I haven't had contact with my parents in a few years. I'm 21 now and I don't know if I'll ever talk to my family again. When I got here I met this guy named Lucas he took me in and let me stay with him but things ended quite ugly last night and now here we are. When you woke up I was thinking about how my life came to this." I told him a barely there smile creeping over my face.
*Stone's POV*
I listened to Allyison, it seemed like life had been pretty messed up to her. I could tell from the look on her face that she was close to crying. I put an arm around her.
"Allyison, you know all that's over. I also promise not to be a dick to you." I told her keeping my voice level and composed.
"Thank you Stone." She whispered."Why are you thanking me Allyison?" I asked.
"Because, you've taken me in and listened to my was pathetic life story." She said as a tear fell down her face.
"Allyison, I've done all of this because I want to. You don't have to cry but if you need to I'm right here." I told Allyison.
Allyison didn't say another word, she just hugged me. Which I returned, she seemed like such a sweet girl who had been out through way too much hell. I wanted to be there for her and protect her in many ways.
"Stone?" She said in a questioning tone getting my full attention.
"Yeah?" I said looking back at her.
"I know it's gonna sound weird but can we just lay here. I feel safe like this." She whispered.
"Of course we can." I told her keeping her in my arms as we laid back down.
*Allyison's POV*
I was wrong about my earlier thoughts, Stone was a very nice guy. He didn't mind my pathetic life story. As I laid there with him in that embrace, I felt like I belonged for once.
"Do you wanna maybe go get lunch?" Stone asked me.
"Sure." I told him with a smile. Soon after that we headed out.
We sat there in the same diner we were in before. Tommy greeted me with a shocked and almost fatherly look on his face.
"Nice to see you again Allyison, I hope you're being careful." Tommy said as we took our seats and looked at the menu.
"Thanks Tommy." I said with a small smile.
"What was that all about?" Stone asked pretty curious about why Tommy said what he said.
"Ever since I got out here Tommy has always looked out for me like a daughter. He means no harm by any of it, he just wants me to make sure I'm being safe and not doing anything stupid." I told Stone, half a smirk coming onto my face.
Stone and I sat in the diner eating and quietly talking. I about jumped out of my skin when an average height man with long, wild hair said something and scared the crap out of me.
"Stone!" The man with the wild long hair said.
"Eddie, what the hell do you want. I'm a little busy at the moment." Stone said, he sounded like this Eddie guy had irritated him slightly.
"I just came by to remind you about practice tonight, and who is this lovely lady?' Eddie asked turning his attention towards me. I felt very shy and put on the spot. Stone could tell so he answered for me.
"I know we have practice, and Eddie this is Allyison." I felt a small blush creep on my face when Stone said my name. I was beginning to like it when he said my name.
"It's nice to meet you Allyison. If you and Stone want you could tag along with him at watch practice of you want." Eddie said with a wink as he walked right out of the diner.
"Sorry about that." Stone said a little awkwardly.
"No, Stone, it's alright. I didn't mind." I said with a reassuring smile.
"So would you uhm, like to watch us practice?" Stone asked.
"Practice what?" I asked because I didn't know.
"Well you see it's a band practice." Stone said with a crooked grin.
"I'd love too." That statement in my mind made Stone a lot cooler than I already thought he was. I could tell he was one interesting person.
