*Allyison's POV*
This place that Stone had found was beautiful. I enjoyed the view almost as much as I enjoyed being with him.
"Wanna sit down and watch the stream?" I asked looking at him.
"Sure." He said with a smile as he took my hand and lead me to bank and we sat down.
It was quiet, peaceful and every nice word you could think of. I didn't know how to really describe it's beauty even in the gray haze that was Washington state. It was like something you would see in a movie only it was real.
"Stone can I ask you something?" I said quietly as we sat in front of the stream.
"Sure you can, what is it?" Stone said not taking his eyes off the stream.
"Essentially, I wanna know why you like me so much. I'm nothing special really." I said watching the stream babble and bubble happily.
"Allyison, you are special to me. You have been since I met you. You intrigued me, made me want to learn more about you." Stone told me smiling in a way that almost made be feel bad for being stubborn.
"I'm sorry I'm being so stubborn. It's in my nature." I said with a small smile."It's okay." Stone said smiling as he put an arm around me.
I couldn't believe how natural it felt to sit there like nothing was wrong even if back in the real world everything was hard but that stream everything was easy.
"Stone, it's getting late." I told him with a smile.
*Stone's POV*
"Stone, it's getting late." Allyison told me with a smile. I knew she was starting to get cold and tired.
When we finally got home that night, Allyison made food and honestly I hadn't eaten like that since I lived at home.
"How the hell did you learn to cook like that?" I asked her.
"My grandmother taught me, my mother was never really the type to cook, so my grandma took over. I'm surprised my mom never used the cooking skills grandma tried to teach her. She never did, dad always cooked and between him and my grandma I learned how to cook." Allyison said smiling a little about her dad and grandma. She seemed to love those two a lot despite everything.
"Have you talked to your grandma since you've been here?" I asked her because if she hadn't I was gonna suggest that she should.
"Yeah and I've talked to my dad despite my mom practically hating me. I know my dad still loves me." She said with a smile
The phone rang and she answered it, immediately her face went worried.
"Dad why do you sound so upset?" She asked.
*Allyison's POV*
"Dad why do you sound so upset?" I asked.
"It's grandma, she passed away and I need you to come home." Dad said a sadness in his voice."Dad right now I don't exactly have any way of getting home. Lucas was being abusive so I had to leave." I told him finally telling the truth.
"I'll send money to you whatever I have to, I need you out here your mother doesn't care enough that's why I need you." My dad said.
"Alright dad, I'll see what I can do." I said hoping Stone didn't hear all of this.
"I'll send money for you to come down." Dad said trying to keep himself together much the way I was.
"Alright dad." I said seconds before we hung up the phone.
"Is everything alright Allyison?" Stone asked looking at me.
"Not exactly." I said with sigh.
"What's going on?" Stone asked wanting me to tell him.
"My grandma passed and he needs me to come home for a while because my mother is being no help." I said sadness evident in my voice.
"Allyison, I'm so sorry. I could come with you if you want." Stone said with a smile.
"That would be great, I don't exactly feel comfortable going home by myself." I spoke truthfully.
"We'll leave when you're ready." Stone said with yet another smile. It was hard not to smile around him no matter what happened. He made everything seem okay.
*Two Days Later*
"Hey dad." I called as I walked up the sidewalk to my parents house with Stone at my side.
"Thanks for coming Allyison. You're brother and sister refused to deal with your mother for any length of time." Dad said kind of like he was irritated with that. Not that I honestly blamed him.
"No problem dad, where is mom anyway?" I asked looking around and not seeing her.
"She's with your aunt Claire. You're aunt is trying to get her to be nice to you while you're here. And who's this?" Dad asked gesturing towards Stone.
"Dad this is Stone, he's a friend of mine. I didn't want to come alone so he came with me." I said giving my dad smile. My dad immediately understood. He knew why I didn't want to come alone. He knew on a good day my mother could be scary.
"We'll I'm glad you showed up." Dad said as he gave me a hug.
"Ally cat!" I heard my aunt Claire's voice call.
"Hi Aunt Claire." I said as I gave her a hug.
"Allyison Marie." My mom said in the most polite voice she could manage to use with me.
"Mother." I said in the same callous yet polite tone of voice.
"I see you're father has called you home." She said sneering tone in her voice.
"Yes he did." I said biting my tongue to keep from saying something rude to her.
"I don't see why he cares so much." My mother said in a snide manner.
"Really mom? How the fuck can you say that? That was your mother! You're either lying or your one cold hearted bitch! Grandma was sweet woman. You're nothing like her. All you have done since I was 13 is find something wrong with me, Clark, or Rosie. I'm sick of it mom snap the hell out of it and remember who you are." I screamed. I had reached my wits end with her. So much so that I didn't even see Clark and Rosie walk up, Stone stood motionless at my side his arm around me trying to calm me down without saying so much as a word.
