New chapter ayooo
Happy summer!Eddies eyes lit up as he laid them upon Richies, he ran up to the teen and chuckled.
"What is it?" Richie smiled as he heard Eddie laugh, it was so pure.
"Nothing," he chuckled again. "I like your ponytail." He began laughing a lot and Richie rolled his eyes with a smile.
"Oh, come on, eds. It's fashion." Eddie looked up and smiled. Richie then pulled out the broken fragments of his glasses out of his pockets. "Hey, do you have some tape?"
"Oh my god, rich, what happened?" Eddie gasped as he began searching in his fanny pack for some tape, his eyes showing concern for his friend.
"Nothin' I just stepped on them." He lied, he wasn't going to tell Eddie about his father and what he did.
He wouldn't want to listen anyway. His anxiety spoke up from the back of his mind.
"Here, let me tape them back together. But you should really buy a new pair." He carefully grabbed the fragments from Richies skinny hands and began taping them together with intense concentration.
He handed the now taped pair of glasses back Richies way and smiled, his smile sending shocks through Richie.
He threw the pair of glasses with tape on the plastic bridge between the two lens and smiled back, he placed his hand lightly on eddies small shoulder and used the other to play with his hair.
"Thanks eds, you always seem to be around To fix me up."
"It's Eddie...And it's what I do best," and with that the second bell rang and Eddie broke into a run down the hallway, pushing past teens and rushing to his class, Richie laughed as he saw the teen scurry off.
Richie walked slowly to his next class, he had five more classes before he would be going to the quarry with Eddie, his heart raced in anticipation.
The teen didn't often go to his last period class, Richie found it pointless and boring and it was so close to dismissal he usually blew it off. But today he decided to go.
Richie walked into the classroom as the teacher didn't even give a glance his way, he was making his way to the desk in the back of the classroom when his eyes flickered over to the seat in the front. A small boy sat idly in the front seat, pulling books out of his bookbag. Eddie Kaspbrak.
A smile spread across Richies face as he walked to eddies desk and sat Down on it, sitting on top of the papers eddie had laid out on the desk.
"Huh?- oh hey!" Eddies eyes lit up once more as he looked up at Richie sitting on his desk.
The teacher saw Richie sitting on a desk and immediately snapped at him. "Richard, sit down in your assigned seat!" She shouted and Richie rolled his eyes at her.
"I declare my assigned seat should be Eddie kaspbraks desk." He snapped back.
"Get off of there Richard!" She shouted and Richie reluctantly scooted off the desk and turned to walk to his seat, he knelt down momentarily and whispered to Eddie. "Meet me outside of school, I'll walk you to the quarry." And he walked to the back and sat down.
Eddie couldn't concentrate the entire class period, and this had never happened before. Eddie loved class and learning, he would always pay attention, but the anxiety of going to the quarry after school made his mind race and his palms sweaty.
What are we even going to do there? He thought anxiously. What if his friends don't like me?
Thoughts like this raced through the small boys head until the bell rang and he snapped back into reality. He stayed frozen in his seat as the entire class exited the room, his hands shaking uncontrollably.
"Ready to go?- woah, Eddie, are you okay?" Richie said as he approached the teen, Eddie looking pale and nervous.
"J-just n-nervous." He whispered and Richie smiled, he knelt down next to the boy and began running his hand though eddies neat hair.
"Eds, do you trust me?" Richie spoke calmly and softly, the mere sound of his voice already making Eddie feel better.
He nodded slightly.
"Then trust me when I tell you my friends will love you. They are so excited to meet you Eddie." And with that eddies cracked a smile, he turned to see Richie and allowed himself to stare into those golden brown eyes.
"Ok." He said simply and he packed up his stuff and threw his backpack over his shoulder.
The two walked side by side towards the exit of the school, eddies heart racing from anxiety and Richie's heart racing from being so close to Eddie.
As they left the school Eddie turned to the bike rack and pulled out his bike, he then turned to Richie.
"Where's your bike?" He asked and Richie hesitated.
"I-I don't have one." He said and eddies face softened, he smiled and pulled the bike up alongside Richie.
"Don't worry, we can ride double." He said as he climbed onto the bike, Richie wavered nervously and then pulled his leg over the tiny bike.
"Are you s-sure?" His voice quivered, he didn't want to admit it, but he had never ridden a bike before. His parents never bought him one and so he got most places by walking.
"Do you trust me?" The boy asked with a smile and Richie nodded shakily, Eddie kicked the stand to the side and began pedaling as hard as he could, his face contorting.
The two finally got to a fast speed and Richie felt his heart beat In his throat, they hit a small bump and the teen immediately threw his arms around eddies small chest, squeezing tight and closing his eyes.
It was amazing, as he slowly opened his eyes he saw the trees mix into a blur around him, his head leaning into eddies back and his arms wrapped around the small boy. It was perfect.
