Daydreamin' {Vol. 2}

It's me

So as you guys know, the drama has officially started. And since Kenzie has been best friends with Aubrey since they were two, Nova and Dee treat her like family. Anyway, there will be a permanent time skip in this chapter. I need to move things along. In the media is Aubrey and Kenzie when they got older. Enjoy!

"Dad? Have you seen my glove?!" We all ran around the house frantically. The biggest game of the year was today. I had been preparing for this game forever. And it was finally here.

"I found it!" I put on my socks and ran downstairs. "Ugh! You're a lifesaver, Kenz." She smiled and handed it to me. "You need to keep your head on straight, okay? This is a big deal. No stress." I nodded and we both took a few deep breaths.

"Mom! Dad! C'mon! We're gonna be late!" They both came running downstairs with everything they needed and we headed to the field.

Nova's POV.....

"Go, baby girl!" Me, Dee, and Kenzie sat on the bleachers cheering Aubrey on. We watched for awhile until they won 7-2.

"Congrats, Bre!" She went up to Kenzie and they hugged. Then she came to us. We congratulated her and then she walked off with Kenzie. Her arm was wrapped around Aubrey's neck and it made me think.

What if Aubrey is into girls? What if she's into Kenzie? I mean she's like family. And I don't know how to feel about the situation. I dont know how I would react if Aubrey were gay.

"What's wrong, baby?" I looked down at Dee and weakly smiled. "Nothing. I'm just in my head." She nodded and we got into the car.

"Is the team celebrating?" I looked through the rearview mirror at Aubrey and she nodded. "We're gonna go to In&Out Burger at 8." I nodded and then she went back to talking to Kenzie.

Later that night (Aubrey).....

"I mean, I get to go to New York for the Champs so Im excited." I was laid on Kenzie's lap while she played my PlayStation. "That's good, Bre. Are you inviting your parents?"

"Yeah. Of course. I mean, they've been there a lot but I want them there. I want you there too. There's three main pieces to my heart. You, my mom, and my dad." She smiled down at me and I smiled at her.

I don't know what it is but, everytime I'm around her lately I get this weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. I don't know how to explain it but its there.

*ding*

I picked up her phone and unlocked it. I opened up her text messages and rolled my eyes. "It's Ariel." I got off of her lap and crawled up to the top of my bed.

Ariel is Kenzie's girlfriend. I never liked her because I always got a bad vibe from her. And everytime she comes around, we argue and fight. Kenzie sighed and called her.

When she answered you could hear her screaming through the phone. "Ari. Please stop screaming." She didn't stop. She kept on so Kenz put the phone down.

Once she calmed down, Kenzie picked the phone back up and they started arguing. Ariel wasn't good for her. She always stressed her out. She always had this bad attitude. The worst thing is that she's just like her mom, Britt. The younger sister of a woman my parents know and dislike. 

I understand why. After awhile of arguing, Kenzie finally hung up. She rubbed her hands over her face and took a deep breath.

Ariel kept blowing up the phone. When Kenzie didn't answer, she decided to text. It was annoying so I turned her phone off.

She crawled up next to me and laid her face in the crook of my neck. "I'm so tired of this, Bre." I played with her hair. "I keep telling you to break up with her." I shrugged and she sat up.

"I can't just walk away from a three year relationship. I mean, I've met her whole family. Her mom Britt, her aunt Alyssa, her grandmom, her dad. It's not that easy." She shook her head and I sighed.

"Look, I love you and I'm here for you even though I dont like Ariel." She weakly smiled and laid her head on my lap. "I love you." I smiled and continued playing with her hair until she fell asleep.

"Why are you up so late?" I jumped and dropped the bowl I had. I turned around to find Kenzie sleepily rubbing her eyes. "Shit, you scared me." I held my chest and tried to catch my breath.

"I'm sorry. I moved and I didn't feel you so I came looking for you." She hopped up onto the bar and I cleaned up my mess. "I couldn't sleep." She looked at me like she was concerned. I haven't been sleeping a lot lately.

"You haven't been taking those pills again, have you?" I shook my head. I used to take these pills to help me stay awake. I was getting ready for nationals and submitting college apps and I didnt have time to sleep.

I got addicted to those things and it made my family worry.

"Speaking of sleep, I dont think I'm going back anytime soon." I put the put on the stove and continued to stir the milk. "What are you making? It smells good."

"Cinnamon milk. My dad used to make it for me when I had nightmares. One glass of this and you're out for the rest of the night." She smiled and watched me finish it.

I poured up two glasses and put whipped cream on top. Then I stuck two cinnamon sticks in each. She took a sip and closed her eyes. "This is amazing." I smiled and drank mine. We sat there talking until we finished our drinks and then we went to bed together.

It took me a little while to fall alseep because I felt this weird presence. Like something bad was going to happen soon. Maybe it was nothing. I ignored it and finally fell alseep.

So, Ariel is Alyssa's little sister's daughter who is also Kenzie's girlfriend. What do you think about that? It's been a couple years and yes this time skip is real because in order for there to be drama, things need to move along. More of this will be in Aubrey's POV because it had kind of become her story but, predict whats gonna happen next in the comments. I might add some of your ideas. ;)
