Hi guys!!!! So, I know it's been a really long time but, I'm gonna try and get back in the habit of writing. Anyway, back to the book.

"We need to talk." All I wanted to do was shut the door. That's what my parents always told me to do if she ever came here. Shut the door, lock it, and go to the safe room.

I would've done it but, I couldn't move. I was stuck. Frozen. Unable to do anything. "I know your parents aren't here. You're alone. So don't try anything funny." I gulped. I looked at my phone on the couch in the family room.

She followed my eyes and chuckled. "Oh I'm sorry. Did I scare you? It's okay. I'm not here to hurt you." I took a deep breath and finally got the courage to say something.

"You're not welcome here." She smiled. "Is that right?" I gulped again. I was hella scared. She stepped through the door. I stepped back. "Who's rule is that?"

"My parents'. They told me about you." Her smile turned evil. "Me and your parents go way back. You look healthy. You turned out better than I thought you would've." I furrowed my brows.

"What are you talking about?" She stepped in even more and I moved. She yanked the door from my grip and closed it slowly. I inhaled sharply. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Sounds like they left out some details. Why don't you sit down?" I stood there. Looking at her like the stranger she was.

"Now!" I gasped and went to sit down on the couch. She followed and sat in the recliner. "Perfect. Now what did your parents tell you about me?"

(Dee's POV)

"Aubrey, we're home." I sat my things down and hung up my coat. Nova came in a little after me and did the same. I walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge, waiting for Aubrey to come from wherever she was hiding.

"Aubrey?" I grabbed a water and leaned against the counter. Nova picked up a piece of paper and started reading it. "What's that?" I walked over to him and he handed it to me.

"What do you think?" I looked over the note thoroughly. "Aubrey didn't write this." He nodded. "That's what I thought." He pulled out his phone.

"What are you doing?" He started dialing numbers. "Calling Mackenzie."

(Kenzie's POV)

"Hello?"
"Have you seen or spoken to Aubrey?"
"Yes sir. I was with her a couple hours ago."
"When you left was there a car or anyone around our house?"
"Not that I know of. Why?"
He sighed. "Aubrey is missing."

I dropped my phone. I quickly grabbed my keys and ran out the door. I drove to their house as fast as I could.

When I got there, I jumped out of my car and ran up to the door. I was about to knock but it opened.

"So, this was here? The door was locked? And there was no sign of struggle?" They nodded. "So what happened?"

"We have no clue. That's not her hand writing. But none of her clothes are gone. Her phone is here. We were hoping you knew." I sighed. I thought back to earlier today. I had got so mad about what she said. I shouldn't have left her.

"I'm sorry. I really don't know. But I can help look for her." Her dad nodded. He was holding her mom while she looked extremely worried.

I shouldn't have left her. I should've stayed with her until her parents got home. She's never here by herself.

"When are we gonna start?" They sighed at the same. "We'll go in the morning. You can stay if you want." I then nodded. I went upstairs into her room. I decided to change clothes so I went to my side of the dresser.

I practically lived here so I had a toothbrush here and everything. I changed clothes and laid on her bed.

I tossed and turned all night. I couldn't sleep here without her. It didn't feel right. I went downstairs and there was her dad. Fixing her favorite drink to help her go to sleep.

"You too?" He turned around to look at me and nodded. "Want a glass?"

"Sure." He fixed us both a glass and we sat there in comfortable silence until we finished. Once he finished he went back upstairs. But, I stayed at the bar to think.

She wouldn't just up and disappear. She's popular but she doesn't hang out with anyone but me. And she always calls or texts before she goes places.

Then it came to me. The night Ariel told me the things her family was trying to do.

I ran upstairs and changed into warm clothes, grabbed my keys and left the house.

I knew exactly where they were. And I was going to be the one to bring Aubrey home.
