When push comes to shove

I was quiet as I slipped on my leather jacket on over my band t shirt, skinny jeans and combat boots.

"Sissy?"

Crap  I thought maybe not quiet enough...

I turned around to see my 6 year old sister in her ragged tank top and ripped shorts.

"Yes Izzy?" I asked as I picked her up and rested her on my hip.

"Where you go?" She asked in her tiny voice. It echoed all around the cold, empty room.

I layed her on the bed and pulled the towel that she used as a blanket up to her chin.

"No where babygirl, just go back to sleep so we can go to school tomorrow ok?" I responded quietly. I knew if I woke up my parents I'd have another scar to add to the others.

"Ok -" she paused to yawn "night night sissy"

I sat and watched her breathing  slow to a steady pace as her small frame went almost completely still.

As soon as I knew she was asleep I slowly climbed out of our 2 story window and clung to the pipe running down to the ground.

Once I got to the ground I took off running.

            《25 minutes later》

I shrieked as I felt someone pick me up from behind and put a hand over my mouth.

I started kicking and punching but stopped when I heard the familiar voice.

"Geeze J! Calm the fuck down"

I breathed a sigh of relief when Carter put me down. After I punched him in the arm of course.

" I deserved that"

" No duh" I said as I reached up and wrapped my arms around his neck. I had to stand on my tip toes as he was 6'1 and I was 5'7.

I slightly relaxed when I felt him wrap his arm around my waist.

"I missed you, love" He said as he nudged his face into my neck

I felt a tear fall down my cheek as I replied

"I missed you too, but I don't have much time. My dad went to bed earlier last night so he'll wake up sooner."

I felt his arms tighten around me before pushing me back to arm's length away with his hand on my shoulders.

"Is there anymore than last time?" He questioned

Yes

"No"

"Please don't lie to me Jamie" His voice was strained, he looked like he was about to cry.

I moved my long, straight black hair to the right side of my neck so he could see the almost fresh cut I had gotten two nights before because I was late coming home from school. Which caused dinner to be late.

He breathed in sharply when he saw it.

I looked around the abandoned warehouse when I heard something move. Carter let go of my shoulders and looked around as well.

"Jamie! I know your there!"

I tensed up as I heard the voice I hated most.

My father's.

《=========================》

I'm debating actually making this into a story instead of just a one shot. I don't know, I might I might not.

What do you think?

Should I make it a story?

Or just leave it here?
