Three Months Later

(Shaniya)

It was almost my favorite time of year. It's crazy how fast time goes by. But it feels good to be back to work. I been seeing a therapist lately because I been waking up with nightmares. This is the third time I been kidnapped and I'm only twenty five years old. Lola was shaken for a bit to and Fredrick sent her on vacation for a while. But I was finally back in my office. I told everyone try not to need me for a little while. As I was sitting down eventually Lola came in and shut the door. We haven't seen each other since the incident. My instincts were telling me everyone was standing by the door listening.

Lola: How are you

Shaniya: Bitchy than usual what about you

Lola: I been getting help but every time I close my eyes all I can see is that car slamming into us or me looking down the barrel of that gun

Shaniya: I've have been kidnapped three times in my life, the memories never go away, but trust me when I tell you as the days go by you think about it less and less

Lola: I wanna come back to work, sitting in my apartment alone is becoming too boring

Shaniya: I think we should stick to desk duty for a little while but I'll talk to Frederick and see what he says about you coming back

Lola: Also about what I said when we were chained to that wall and I thought I was going to die

Shaniya: You mean the part about you liking me............why

Lola: Well you took a chance on me and I will always be grateful for that, your a bitch but at the same time your very sweet, and that ass you have and from the moment we started talking we vibe and I love being your partner

Shaniya: I'm married

Lola: He doesn't care

Shaniya: I'm older

Lola: Five years and I'm grown

Shaniya: There's no dating on the job

She rolled her eyes at me. That's when she stood up and pulled my face towards hers and kissed me. After that she sat back down and I never kissed a girl before. I was taken back by how good she was. I told her when we work keep it professional unless no one is around. She agreed and then we went back to work. As the day went by Frederick told us he truly didn't mind if I got with a girl. He then told me if he ever found me with another man he kill them twice and probably put a slug into me. I definitely believed him. When he found out I was pregnant with George baby he lost it but more with me than him. He punched me in the face and I definitely deserved it. He then told us he needs us on the field and the better way to get over this is to put our energy into working and that's what I was going to do.
