Once getting herself under control she gets up and pushes one of the sorting tables over to the door blocking it. Didn't really have to but its better to be safe then sorry.

"What's going on? Most of the time those things don't go after me unless they see me, but ever since finding that paper (err, parchment) in the pendant they seem to be hunting me now. Whatever is in that book they don't want me to see it. I wonder why?"

Taking out some food she sits once more on the floor with the sorting table to her back.

"Whatever is in that book might just explain on what happened to this place."

The sounds once more started up again. But this time the seem to be getting louder and closer. Not good at all. This time she puts her hands over her ears trying to block out some of the noise. This had never happen before.

It seemed like there was an army outside the door. Bracing herself again the desk she waits. BANG! BANG! BANG! something or someone was banging loudly on the door. Followed by loud scratching. The door handle turned back and forth causing it to break on the other side and landing on the floor making a metal clanking sound.

There was something coming. Something big. She could sense it.

"This isn't good, not good at all."

Just has fast as the sounds started they all of a sudden stop. It was an eerie silence. It seemed to be getting colder and darker. Even though she couldn't see outside to confirm it. Could just feel it.

Almost holding her breath she heard a sound off in the distance.

"Footsteps? Haven't heard that sound for a long time."

Listening more closely.

"Sounds like its dragging something. I wonder what?"

The footsteps were getting louder as they made their way to the mail room door. Finally they stop just outside the door. Her eyes grew wide realizing all to late that she had boxed herself in. There was no escape from that room. Only one way in and one way out and that was now begin blocked by a sorting table with who or whatever was waiting on the other side.

"Crap! How could I have been so stupid!" Looking frantically around for a hiding spot. "Damn! Might have had a chance if I hid in the office instead of staying out here."

She stiffened. She could almost feel that thing lifting up whatever it was dragging in the air. Then all of sudden.....
