(A/N) Okay! For maybe just this time only, I'll set it as a different POV. I feel like this one should really be put in, since I am trying to relate to something. Also, since the Espinosa's will be being introduced in this chapter, I'd like to tell you that Matthew's parent's and brother will be incorrect. I know that he does not have a little brother named Michael, and I'm not so sure what his parent's names are. I googled his parent's names tbh. Thank you! The story will be starting off with Mike's POV, Matthew's father.

Mike's POV

Let's go watch some T.V. I told myself. I've been so bombarded with work that I don't think I've had enough time to chillax. I'll catch up on the latest news on the news channel. I walk over and plop down onto the couch, grab the remote, turn on the T.V., and flip it to the news channel. There were a few robberies and house fires, but one stuck out to me the most.

"Damon Carlisle's house has been burned down at exactly 6:23 P.M. His daughter, Malycia Carlisle, called 911 to note that the kitchen was NOW on fire. Friends Janice, Menaderellia, and Oscar were with them at the time of the incident." The news reporter noted.

Damon Carlisle! He was my best friend in high school. When we went to college, we seperated and we haven't talked in years. I'm 41 now!

"Honey, come here! Look! It's Damon!" Sarah, my wife, quickly ran over to the couch to see Damon on the screen talking to the news reporter. Both of our faces lighted up to see that he was alive, and so were the others in the incident. We both squealed in excitement. He was our best bud.

In the time of our cheers, both of my son's Matthew and Michael came downstairs, confused to see why we were cheering.

"What's up?" Matthew questions.

"See that man on the screen? He was your mother's and mine's best friend back in high school. We lost contact during college. His house was just burned down .. LET'S GO OVER THERE RIGHT NOW AND TALK, SARAH!" Matthew looked at me with a smile and laughed with how quick my attention span to what I was saying was.

"Michael and I will stay here. We'll just go upsta--" he cut himself off when he looked to the screen to see a black-haired girl with light brown eyes on the screen. I think that's Damon's daughter .. uhh .. Malycia? He noticed my stare and shook his head. "We'll just go upstairs and play some video games." he finished. Michael nodded and they raced eachother up the stairs.

"Let's go visit them, hun!" I said in excitement.

----------

Malycia's POV

I looked at my house with sadness. Our house, THAT WE JUST MOVED INTO TODAY, just burned down! All of our stuff, burnt. All of our memories, burnt. We had no where to live, we were actually lucky to get a house this cheap. We're not rich, we don't have all the money in the world. What were we going to do?

"I'm sorry, this is all my fault. I was cooking, I should of known better." My father rumbled. I felt bad for him, he must feel so bad right now. But, I can't blame him. His attention span is small, he can't focus on many things at once.

"It's okay, Daddy. No worries. The damage has been done, but it's not your fault. It's all of ours, really. We should of warned you." I hugged him in reassurement until I saw a dark black mustang arrive. Who could this be?

"Damon?" a brown-haired man said towards my father. He had a beautiful woman by his side. Is this guy my uncle or something? I have never seen him before in my whole life. I was about to ask my father, but he let me go and ran towards the mysterious man and hugged him.

"Mike! Sarah!" he exclaimed. My dad and Mike beamed at eachother. I was confused out of my mind, and it seemed like my friends were, too. They were my best friends since forever, they were always with me, they were like family. So of course they didn't know who this man and woman were.

"Oh, I need to introduce you guys to my daughter and her friends. Malycia, Oscar, Menaderellia, Janice, c'mere!" He waved his hand toward us. As we walked over, we had made a crowd.

"Meet my daughter, oh my beautiful daughter, Malycia Crystal Carlisle." He shoved me towards Mike and Sarah and made me hug them.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart. I'm guessing you're a bit confused, huh?" I nodded my head at Sarah and she had explained to my friends and I that they use to be close friends in high school until they lost contact in college.

"Oh, well nice to meet you." I smiled and hugged them back. If my father was close to them, maybe I should be close to them.

"Nice to meet you, too, Malycia. Oh, and Damon," Mike said. "You can live with us." My father and I looked at them in shock.

"No, no, no. It's okay, Mike! I swear it is. I don't want to burden you. No worries." My father waved his hand.

"No, I insist. Maybe just for awhile, then, please? We can catch up, we've always wanted to live together like a family, right? C'mon." My father kept denying, but Mike suddenly turned serious and really pleaded him.

"Please, you can stay with us. We live in a freaking mansion, Damon. Stay with us." They both laughed and my father finally agreed.

"Okay."

(A/N) Hellllo! End of the 2nd chapter. I'd like to clear up a few things cus I'd like all of our minds to be on the same page.

Malycia is pronounced Muh-lee-see-yuh. Not Muh-lee-shuh. Carlisle is pronounced Car-ly-uhl. Not Car-liz-uhl.

Thank you, thank you. Please share, vote, anything :) Sorry it was so short. Hope you enjoyed this chapter.
