So this chapter is connected with the previous one... Also, I think I should mention that I am not following the show's events (demon possessions, bloodyface story line and all that). This is an alternate universe fic... So... yeah... enjoy?
10:20 am - Jude's office
"Do you want to take a seat." Jude smiled pointing at the chair.
Jude couldn't believe who just entered her office. It was the only person standing between her and Lana's chance at happiness. It was Wendy, but she wasn't alone. She was accompanied by a handsome man.
'Why would God send her now? Is he punishing me for my sins?' Jude thought although never losing her poise.
"Thank you Sister."
"To what do we owe the honor of this visit? Are you here to finally press charges and free your lover out of this place?" Jude's voice was deep and serious hiding her state of vulnerability.
"Not exactly." Wendy was looking down at her hands.
"No? Then why are you here? Would you mind stating your business?" Jude was confused. Why would Wendy be here to begin with?
"I, umm, I have been receiving letters from Lana. Miss Winters. And I would like for them to stop. I know you are the head of the institution and that you would be able to assist me."
"You have been receiving letters? That is impossible. No one is allowed to send letters without them being approved by me. She probably found a way to do so. I will see to it that your request will be completed."
"Thank you Sister. That is all" Wendy began to stand up but quickly sat down with Jude's following question to her statement.
"May I ask why is it you don't want any letters from the person you signed for to be here?" Jude was not going to let her go so easily. She figured that Wendy was not interested to communicating with Lana directly. Wendy was no longer a threat to her relationship with Lana and she wanted to make sure that would not change in the future.
Wendy found it appropriate to introduce the man sitting on the chair next to her.
"This is Dr. Oliver Thredson."
He shaked hands with Jude. Jude was confused as to why Wendy has just decided to introduce him.
"Oliver is my fiance. We are getting married in a week. The letters only remind me of my past mistakes and I don't want to live in the past. I want to have a bright future with a man that can make me happy and that I won't be ashamed of showing affection in public."
Jude was caught by surprise. Wendy called Lana a mistake in her life. How dare she? Jude would go to hell and back just to be with the woman and here Wendy was throwing it all away as if Lana was a broken toy.
"I am happy for you Wendy. But let me make one thing clear. You should never treat Miss Winters as if she was a mistake in your life. She probably was the best thing that ever happened to you but you never accepted her. You loved the idea of being with someone that would give their life to be with you, but not her." Jude said in a stern voice making her point clear.
"That is not true Sister. I have loved her." Wendy was trying to convince the nun but failed miserably.
"If you loved her as much as you say why did you hide her from the world? Why did you sign the papers? Is work and reputation more important than her?" In that moment Jude realised that she would sacrifice her reputation and her entire life's work at Briarcliff just to kiss Lana. "If you loved her a fraction of how much she loved you, you would have come back for her. But here you are, 3 months after she was forced in here, waltzing in with your fiance."
