Secret Parents ( A Reylo Fanfic)

Chapter 2

Kylo Ren's POV

I was rolling in bed. It has been a few days now. I was living in my ship and didn't have much more provisions. What did I come here for? I asked myself for the millionth time. I sighed. I was planning to go back anyway. I got up and out of the ship.

Hmm. I sensed someone behind me. Always on alert, I reached for my lightsaber. Was going to, anyway. Somehow, I sensed that this creature wasn't dangerous. I turned around and, to my surprise, I saw the little girl I saw a few days ago. What was she doing here? Had she followed me? If so, did she know I was Kylo Ren, the Supreme Leader of the First Order? I was pretty sure she was going to betray me to ... someone [insert internal/mental shrug]. 

I stared at her. She stared at me back. We kept staring. My eyes were getting dry. What are we doing? I finally blinked. Maker, my eyes were dying. I turned around, ready to go back into my ship. "Yesss! Haha! I win!" I turned around. The little girl was jumping up and down like an idiot. "Hey! I'm not an idiot!" I blinked again. Was this girl force sensitive? "No. I'm not force sensitive." Wait, what the heck? "Are you an idiot? I said I'm not force sensitive. I can just read minds." said the girl. Uh-huh. Suuuure. 

The girl glared at me.

Well, since you can read my mind, I won't bother talking. Who are you, exactly? " My name's Dominiquu. Dominiquu Shazel." Nice to meet you, Dominiquu Shazel. Where are your parents? Dominiquu tensed up. Oh. "Oh, don't you dare pity me. They were good for nothing anyway." she snapped at me. How old are you, four? 

"I'm seven!" Dominiquu said indignantly. I resisted an urge to giggle. But you're so short!  Dominiquu growled, and before I knew it, she had launched herself at me. She started to throw punches at me, but I held out one arm against her chest and she never hit me. Hey, you're pretty strong for someone so short! And quite fast, too. " 'Course I am. I trained my whole life just so I can seem badass." I resisted another urge to giggle. This girl, was quite fiery. Much like me. And she also lost her parents. We had only met for a few minutes, but I already felt a brotherly bond with her.

A few days later....

Rey's POV

"Hey! I thought you'd never come!" I turned around and saw a little girl. "Oh, hey Dominiquu! Sorry. I was just packing up." "What! You're going away?!" Dominiquu's exclamation was full of heartbreak. "Yeah, didn't I tell you? I was only visiting Jakku for a few days. Then I'm going back. Or else my friends will worry." Dominiquu's eyes filled with tears. I crouched down and reached to wipe them away. She moved away. "Hey, if it makes it better, I'll take you with me. I mean, if you're oka--" "No," Domniquu interrupted. "I still have a friend here. If I'm gone, he'll be sad and angry. When he was little, his parents neglected him. I can't leave him alone." But you've always been alone too. "Whatever." she sniffled. "Everybody always leaves." She glared at me and then said,"Go finish packing. And...don't come back." I know what she wanted to say. That she didn't want to ever see me again. But I knew what she really wanted to say. On the inside. Since this place makes you so sad. Don't ever come back. Dominiquu turned around and started running. She only looked back once, and I could see the tears streaming down her face. It broke my heart. I was once like that too. Always alone. How could I do this to her? What was I thinking?! I started after her. I was determined to bring her back to the new Resistance base. And I would bring her friend too. 

Kylo Ren's POV

I saw Dominiquu running toward me. I was about to call out to her when I saw the tears. I grabbed her shoulders. "What happened? Who did this to you?" I asked angrily. Dominiquu shook her head. I sighed. You know very well that I can search in your head and find out what happened, right? "And I know perfectly well that you won't," she retorted. Sigh. You know why I wouldn't do that. "Yeah, 'cause apparently I mean so much to you. Bullcrap." she spat back at me. I frowned. I don't like your attitude, young lady. "What! Everybody's going to leave me. Even you're going to leave me one day! What's the point?" I crouched down and sighed. "Dominiquu, I would never leave you." Dominiquu looked away and sniffled. "Now come on, tell me what happened. "It's just that, my other friend, you know, the one I told you about? She's leaving." Dominiquu paused a moment. I could tell she was struggling. "Today." I was shocked. Dominiquu had said that this "other friend" was really close to her. How could she leave Dominiquu on this barren planet, alone? "She asked me to come with her. But I chose not to go." "WHAT!!! WHY!!!???!!" I couldn't comprehend this. Here she was, finally having a chance to be with someone that actually cares for her. Why didn't she go with that "other friend"?Dominiquu looked at me. "Because I have to be here. For you."
