Chapter 5

Kylo Ren's POV

I felt my smirk drop. Aaaarrrggghhhh, what was I thinking?! I just provoked her and she ran away! [internal groan] This was never going to work. How was I supposed to make her forgive me?

Fark. Fark, fark, fark. Farkitty fark fark fark.

What is it? Dominiquu's voice resounded in my head. 

I scared Rey off.

Pfffft. As if Rey could be scared.

What do you know?

More than you do.

I didn't mean it that way. Sorry I'm just.... not myself right now.

Rey was very attached to your father, Be-- Dad.

I know. He treated her more of a daughter in a few days than me a son in a bunch of years.

Dad.

I know, I know. It's just... like I have this reflex, you know, emotionally, that...kinda...causes...

What? People to think that you're an arrogant brat?

Hey-

People to think that they mean nothing to you? People to run away?

I hung my head in shame. She was right, of course. Why did I act this way? I built a wall around my heart and only let the snark and menace seep out, like slick black oil. How is it that when I'm with Dominiquu I'm can admit that I'm a horrible person? Why, when I'm with other people, I'm always so arrogant and prideful, so haughty and egotistic?

Well, at least you're admitting that you're an egotistic butt. That's a step.

My eyes widened in surprise. Dominiquu? You're still here? I thought you would be fuming mad and would've left by now.

I'm here to help you. I can't leave anyway.

Wait, what?

Oh, pretend I didn't say that last part.

No, I don't care about that part right now. What did you call me before?

Um.... an egotistic butt?

Rey's POV

What.

The.

Farking.

Chaos.

"AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW DARE HE! THAT JERK!"

A timid voice approached me.

"Um...Re-"

"WHAAAAATTTT!!!!!"

I turned around in fury. Who the chaos dares to interrupt my raging? [just go with it readers, ik i'm a terrible writer]

"Rey. Rey, calm down."

"Oh hey, Dominiquu. Why aren't you with your dad?" Try as I might, I couldn't keep that edge of snark out of my voice. Dominiquu looked hurt. "Look, Domini-" I started. "No, you look Rey. Look at me." I forced my gaze towards her.

"Look me in the eyes." I did.

"I."

"Am."

"Adopted."

"I know, Domi, your dad already told me." "Oh no, don't you dare 'Domi' me. I am adopted. You hear me?! I. AM. ADOPTED!!! I WAS ALONE!!!!! On this maker-forsaken farking desert, I WAS ALONE! AND SO WAS BEN!!"

"Ben?"

"KYLO REN! WHATEVER YOU CALL HIM! HE WAS ALONE REY! I MET HIM BEFORE YOU! He was alone! AND WE HEALED EACH OTHER. JUST LIKE YOU AND ME."

I stared at Dominiquu. I was surprised at her outburst, but-

That's it. I. Fucking. Quit.

I can't write this anymore. This story sucks, I can't capture the character's personality, and I don't know what to write.  I'm eternally grateful for my friends ( go read their stories, they're amazing) but I can't do this anymore. I know I only did five chapters, and I don't even have a lot of readers, and I'm making a really big deal out of this, but I quit. First one to comment and give me encouragement gets a million virtual hugs. As for now, this story is on hiatus. Sorry. Tell me when you want the story again. Maybe I'll work on a Miraculous Ladybug fanfic. I'm also a fan of that.
