The "Suicide"

We lost her.
The only person that meant anything to me.
My memories of her are not a blur.
We never found her, plain as can see.

She was a happy girl.
The kind to love fun.
Jump and dance with a twirl.
Until her mind was corrupted, and she picked up that gun.

We found her after hearing the shot.
Smiling, and holding a note in her hand.
Just seeing her lying there, turned my stomach to a knot.
Her freckles, sprinkled like grains of sand.

We could never bear to look at her note.
We couldn't bring ourselves to see what made her sad.
Until I decided to see what she wrote.
What I saw made me both confused and mad.

"There is a man with a gun behind me.
Forcing me to smile.
He's raising the gun to my head, and I hope you know...
That I won't see you again for a long while."
