Chapter 4- Nervous
"I'm getting tired," I told Leah at around 10:00. "Yeah, me too," she said. "Let's go to bed."
I woke up to the sound of my very loud alarm clock. "Leah, get up." I said. "It's 7:30." I got out of bed, slowly, and Leah did too. I went over to my dresser. What was I going to wear on my first day of HIGH SCHOOL? This is so complicated. After about 10 minutes, I had my outfit picked out- a denim jacket, white tanktop, acid wash skinny jeans, and white flats. Leah had on a simple outfit- white tee shirt, skinny jeans, and white sandals. I stared at her. "What?" I don't want to wear something that will stand out too much,"she said. "Ok. Let's go eat breakfast." I said. I could smell the waffles all the way from the kitchen up here. "I'm starving." I said. "Me too," Leah said. "Let's go."

After we ate breakfast and brushed our teeth, we decided to do our hair. I put mine in a braid, and Leah just put her hair in a ponytail. Then, we got our backpacks ready. I had my binder, pencil pouch, and water bottle. My binder was already set up the way it needed to. Leah didn't need to do anything, she already got her stuff ready last night. "Ok, let's go to the bus stop." I said.

When we got to the bus stop, the bus was just pulling up. We were the first stop, so the bus was empty. Not yet, at least. I was already predicting that this bus was going to get crazy, especially in the afternoon because everyone will be on at once. It was about a 15 minute bus ride. There was only 2 other stops that were very close to our house, but each stop had like 12 kids. Everyone was quiet, because you know, it's Monday. First day of school. We're not gonna be crazy.

When we got to the school, or should I say mansion? The place was HUGE. Anyway, I had locker 1043, and Leah had locker 1045. Not locker buddies, but close enough! I put my backpack in my locker and got out my binder and pencil case. I left my water bottle in my locker because I didn't need it right then. I looked at my schedule. Math, Physics, Biology, Lunch, Art, History, English, Reading, Choir. Great. 8 periods. Not that big of a fan of having math, physics, and biology all at once. Leah got lucky. She had Choir, Art, and Reading all at once. I so wish I could trade with her. Leah and I had art, choir, math, and lunch together. That's good. The warning bell rang, so Leah and I headed in our different directions to our first class. I headed off to math while Leah went to choir. So not fair. At least my math teacher was nice. Her name was Mrs. London. Nice last name. At least she actually had a normal last name. Anyway, Mrs. London had a high pitched voice, which was really weird, but ok. Thank goodness we didn't do much today in math. All we did was put our math journals together and then she asked everyone of us how our summer went. Then the bell rang. "You're dismissed." She said. I headed out the door and went to physics. The rest of the day went by really fast. All my teachers were nice, so that's good. Leah's mom picked her up, and my mom picked me up. When I got home, I jumped on my bed and grabbed my phone. I started playing subway surfers, because I didn't have any homework today, surprisingly. 10 minutes later, I had a high score of 44,530! Oh yeah! Leah's high score is 23,458. I sent her a snapshot of my score. No way! She texted back. I sent her the little smirking emoji face. Lol, she sent back. I have math homework. Gotta go. She sent. Ok talk to you later, I sent back. I forgot she was in GT math. I was in Accelerated. Leah's really smart. She qualified for all GT classes. Maybe that's why she gets her electives first.

At around 9:30, my mom said that I needed to go to bed. So I brushed my teeth and then laid down on my bed. I love my memory foam mattress. It feels like I'm sinking into it. Before I know it, I'm drifting off...
