Everyone looked surprised, but didn't elaborate on it as Thor continued his story from where he had left off.
"The Fleece worked its magic too well, bringing Thalia back to her human form and leaving her tree."
"What?" just about every other Avenger asked simultaneously.
"She had almost died seven years previous to this quest. As she lay dying, her father, Zeus, turned her into a tree, so that no other half-blood would share the same fate." Thor explained. "That winter, he, Annabeth, and Thalia went to a boarding school in Maine, where their friend Grover was watching for new half-bloods. They were attacked by a manticore that almost killed all of them and kidnapped Lady Chase. They were only saved by Lady Artemis' hunters. Everyone, including Nico and Lady Bianca, traveled back to camp using Apollo's sun chariot. Almost immediately, they set out a quest to rescue Lady Artemis and Annabeth, who were both kidnapped. Percy sneaked out with a promise to Nico he would watch over his sister. They traveled across the country to California, losing Bianca in the desert lands of New Mexico, I think. I believe the most memorable part of that quest was when they messed with Hoover Dam and he jumped out of the St. Louis Arch."
"Shouldn't he be dead by now?" Steve asked. "From the height Jackson jumped, the velocity would have crushed him."
"His father's powers are continued in his son. Percy has total control of water of any sort and can talk to horses." Tony answered. "At least, according to my sister anyway."
"There he met a friend and his future oracle, Rachel Dare. They traveled to Mount Tamalpais and found their friends holding up the sky. It was such a stressful ordeal, you get grey hairs from holding it up. While Thalia and head Hunter Zoe battled Atlas and Luke, their friend-turned-enemy, Percy held up the sky for his friends. They beat Atlas and put him in his place, but at the cost of Zoe, who now is the constellation the Huntress. They went to Olympus, where Thalia became the new huntress captain. Percy learned from Lady Athena that his fatal flaw was loyalty later that night. The next adventure they had was the Labyrinth, which was when Mt. St. Helens erupted."
"That was him?" Natasha asked incredulously.
"Then the Battle of New York happened. Not ours, but during ours. Kronos used that as an opportunity to attack. Three days of almost constant fighting. Many died. They defeated Kronos at the cost of Luke Castellan. Percy was offered godship. He refused because that was when he got together with Annabeth. He fulfilled the prophecy made about the time Nico and Steve were born."
"What prophecy?" Tony asked. "Sally never mentioned a prophecy."
"She probably didn't know. It is a close guarded secret among the half-blood community." Thor responded.
"What was this prophecy?" Asked Rhody quietly.
"It is quite depressing. A party stopper." Thor deflected.
"Just tell the prophecy already, Blondie." Bruce warned.
Thor sighed. "A half-blood of the eldest gods shall reach sixteen against all odds, and see the world in endless sleep; a hero's soul cursed blade shall reap. A single choice shall end his days, Olympus to preserve or raze."
Everyone glanced at each other. "That's depressing." Tony said eventually.
"The one made after the Final Battle was even worse. Especially since three is the most you can have on a quest."
"What was that one?" Wanda asked softly.
"Seven half-bloods shall answer the call. To storm or fire, the world must fall. An oath to keep with a final breath, and foes bear arms to the Doors of Death." A deep voice answered. They spun to see Nico standing in the shadows, watching them.
