Working Life

Finally, I finished my degree, I said. It was March 25, 2008 and I am so happy that at last, after long years of studying, sleepless night, and doing homeworks, I am holding on my diploma.

And so ready for what install for me...

Did you finished your resume? my friend asked me.

Yes, of course, I replied..

I've been waiting for this since first year college...

I  am a Hospitality Major-minor in Tourism graduate, and hoping to work in Hotel, Cruise or in Restaurant. Although I am not so tall, 5'6", fair skin, good looking guy with thick eyebrows, nice nose, small eyes, with braces on my teeth.

Modesty aside, I am academically good. I used to be the president of student organization and been helping fellow students on their needs in school.

And for sometime, I am popular student. But as much as possible. I want to stay a low profile person. I did many community outreach programs. One serious activity was to helped those who were affected by erupted volcano.

I had my trainings in hotel, in restaurant and in cruise. When I finished my internships, they told me to apply to their accredited agencies for work. Of course as courtesy to their invitations, I said, yes soon, Sir. And I really wanted to work in their companies too.

2 weeks after, just about to leave the house. I received a message from my University, asking me to come for job offer.

I was really hesitant to come, because I thought I had enough time to work in school. I really want to work in the cruise so badly.

But I just felt, God is pushing me to come to my alma mater. In short, I went to my school and truly I have a job offer.

I said, what is this?

This is a job offer, if you accept it, take it. And then, start working here...

Can I think about it first?, I said..

Yes, okay..I heard a reply..

In two weeks I tried to weigh things which career I should go...
