Chapter 49

Hye Mi's POV
It's been already 3 hours.. They were still in the surgery room.

I was waiting outside for him.. For the whole 3 hours..

I prayed to God, to Jesus.. Please let my father live..

Just then, I saw someone familiar standing in front of me. It was a woman in a white gown. She seemed a little bit transparent..

Then something hit me.
"E-Eomma?"

The woman.. No, my mum smiled. Am I seeing things now?

She slowly walked towards me and sat beside me as I looked at her in disbelief.

"Hi, my beautiful daughter. It's been awhile, hasn't it? Mummy missed you so much."
She said in her melodic voice.

It this how she looks? I mean, I've never met her before in real life.. She looks so pretty..

"Mummy? I-Is this r-really you? What are you doing here? A-Am I dreaming?"

She caressed my cheeks with her warm hands. I felt so safe..

"You're not dreaming, my dear. I'm here to pick up your father.."
She said softly, a small smile appeared on her face.

I thought for awhile. Pick up dad? Why?

Just then, dad walked out of the surgery room. He was a little bit transparent as well like mum. But what? How? What is happening?

"Appa?"

He smiled and walked towards us. He changed into a white gown as well..

"Let's go, my love."
He said to mum.

Mum got up and they linked their arms together. They whispered something to me, before disappearing into thin air.

"We love you, Hye Mi.."

At that moment, I fell to my knees. They're both gone.. I understood what happened.. They both left to heaven..

The doctors then came out with a sad expression.

"I'm sorry.. We couldn't save him.."

3 years later...
I'm all alone..

Vampires can die.. If a vampire loves a human and if he's willing to protect the human forever no matter what, then he'll vanish from the world forever..

That's a fact that I didn't knew about until Yugyeom told me..

I took out the old paper from my pocket and placed it near my heart.

I kept this paper for 3 years already.. I treasure and cherish it so much that if other people touched it, I would go insane..

<Flashback to 3 years ago>
After the funeral, I went back to my house. No one was there.. It felt so empty..

Then, I found a piece of paper and a red box on my bedside table. I picked it up and started to read it.

Dear wifey,

          Hey there, my beautiful lover~ I know you're upset and depressed because of your father. I know.. But it's time for me to go. I'm so sorry for leaving you alone, my love.

          But I'm here watching you! I'll watch and take care of you forever~ Keep smiling okay? Don't let this stop you from moving on!

          Remember at University? You got JUNGSHOOK when I sucked your blood for the first time! Aish, I wish I could see your beautiful face again.. And I know that I might be harsh and rude sometimes but please, understand that because I'm a man, lol!

          And if we have a little human or vampire come out from your vajayjay, make sure to take good care of him and name him Kookie! ;)

          By the way, I found Seoyeon's parents and sent her home. Are you proud of me? :) I knew that you didn't liked her! So I granted your wish :)

          But sweetheart, don't think that you can go around flirting and dancing with other guys! You're married to me and we ain't getting a divorce! Nuh-uh! Not until I approve it! I'm still up here watching you so if you be a bad girl, daddy will be upset T.T

          I hate to say this but I kinda cried writing this. I really don't want to leave you but I have to since I love you so much. Please don't ever forget me. Even if you lost your memories, remember me, at least me.

          Even if you're sad, depressed, miserable or annoyed, keep smiling, my love. Don't let all those negative feelings get to you! That's my last wish.

Remember to take care of Kookie and don't forget me! Bye bye my beautiful wifey! I'll come visit you again!

I cried and cried and cried and cried. After my dad left me, Jungkook left me too..

I appreciate him, I really do..

But, like what Jungkook said, I won't let this get to me. I'll be a strong woman and be independent. I'll stop being a crybaby!

I then looked down to the little boy who was holding onto my hand tightly.

At least Jungkook left me a present. A very precious present that I could ever ask for.

I'll raise him up to be a strong, independent man. A perfect man. I'll be that great mother everyone knows.

Then, I looked beside to the transparent husband, Jungkook, he was holding my hand tightly too. He cracked up a smile and left a small peck on my lips.

Behind us, was my angel mum and my hero dad. They patted my shoulders proudly.

I will protect my family, no matter where they are or what they are.

I looked up to the sky...
