Justin’s P.O.V.

Please. No! Cher honestly couldn’t be finding out about me meeting up with Isabella. And if she was going to find out about it, I didn’t want it to be like this. I wanted to tell her myself.

I watched, horrified, as pictures of me and the real Isabella hanging out together over a period of a week showed up on the screen behind Ellen’s head.

“Wh...What?” Cher asked, shocked. “I never knew this happened.”

“Um… We’re going to go to a commercial break. See you in 5.” Ellen said, before leaving us to talk.

Cher automatically got up and stormed off to the backstage area.

I ran after her, and caught her arm, stopping her and forcing her to face me.

“Why didn’t you tell me about this!?” Cher screamed at me, tears already rolling down her cheeks.

“I didn’t think it was that important that you should know.” I said, wiping her tears off of her cheeks.

She hit my hand away from her.

“Of course it’s important! You were with another girl!”

“Cher, it really isn’t what you think. She was in town for the first time in 9 years, and she was one of my closest friends, I wanted to catch up with her. But, trust me, she kept trying to make excuses for Rosalia and I wasn’t having any of it. She’s back in Italy now and I swore to myself never to see her again.”

“Good.” Cher seemed to have calmed down now. “I still can’t believe you lied to me. Please, don’t talk to me - not until I’ve forgiven you.”

With that, she ran off, out of the building.

And I never realised Scooter heard everything.

“You need to work on your persuasion skills. I don’t think I’d have believed you so easily.” Scooter joked, and I turned to face him.

“I’ve fucked up again, haven’t I?” I asked, trying not to cry.

“Nah, it’s not that bad. She’ll come round. Just give her some space for a couple of days.”

“I’ll try. I just love her too much. I won’t let her go again. Not now and not ever.”

Cher’s P.O.V.

I flew back to Canada with Justin that afternoon on our private jet, but avoided him for the whole flight.

Once we arrived back in Stratford, I went straight to my father’s house and managed to avoid Justin for the whole weekend.

Maybe it was so easy because Justin understood that I needed my space and was being a good boyfriend by giving it to me.

By Monday, I had decided to stop avoiding him. I loved him too much for a stupid little thing like this to ruin our relationship.

I decided to walk to Pattie’s house, giving me a chance to get some fresh air.

When I arrived at Pattie’s, I noticed that Justin was playing basketball with Ryan.

Ryan noticed me straight away, but I gestured for him to stay quiet so I could sneak up on Justin.

I managed to sneak up on Justin successfully, causing him to drop the basketball and squeal like a little girl.

Both Ryan and I found this extremely hilarious until Justin started to sulk.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and looked at him.

“I’m sorry baby.” I kissed his cheek as he pulled me closer to him.

“No, I’m sorry baby girl. I shouldn’t have lied to you.”

“And I shouldn’t have over-reacted.”

“Yeah, yeah. You’re both sorry. Kiss and makeup quickly. We were in the middle of a game!” Ryan yelled jokingly at us, causing us to chuckle.

“I’ll be inside with your mom.” I told Justin, kissing him quickly before heading inside the house.

I wasn’t surprised to find Charlana and Katie (I had finally forgiven her for what she did) sitting in the front room pouring over bridal magazines.

“Come and join us Cher.” Charlana said, patting the empty cushion besides her on the couch. “I need both of my bridesmaid’s opinion on my wedding dress.”

“Seriously?” I asked as I sat down besides her. “You want me to be one of your bridesmaids?”

“Of course I do. You and Katie are my girlfriends, of course you have to be my bridesmaids!”

The three of us sat for over an hour looking at wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses. We only stopped when the two boys came in, and were being rather noisy in the kitchen as they got a drink.

“Do you feel like Justin is definitely ‘the one’ then, Cher?” Katie asked, whispering.

“Yeah.” I giggled quietly, blushing a little.

“Do you think he’ll propose again?” Charlana whispered to me.

“I don’t know.” I whispered back.

“I hope he does.” Katie whispered.

“What would you say if he does?” Charlana whispered.

“Yes, of course. But we’ve only been dating for 10 months again. Surely it’s too soon to be thinking of marriage if we agreed to take our relationship slowly this time.”

Yet, not every mind thinks alike.
