Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden. God came and talked to them. There were many trees in the garden. God said Adam and Eve could eat fruit from all the trees but not from the tree of good and evil. If they ate fruit from that tree, they would know what was good and what was evil and there was an other tree of knowledge in the midst of the garden.
Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made.
Serpent said to the woman,
“Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”☆ The woman said to the serpent,
“We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,☆ But God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’
Genesis 3:2-3// - God did not say "you must not touch it"
- Dont take hidden meanings from other's words or wrong interpretations from others words.//
☆ “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.
Genesis 3:4// -Dont share everything with everyone since satarn can use anybody
- Upon sharing we are giving space to others to influence our life //
☆ When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it.
Genesis 3:6// - See everything depends on the word of God
- Eve saw the fruit depends on the words of serpent and did the sin against God //☆ She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
Genesis 3:6// - Dont insist family to do something against the word of God
Ref:
☆ "The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down." Proverbs 14:1 //☆ Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked.
Genesis 3:7// ☆Ref : God will repay each person according to what they have done.
Romans 2:6- Be careful of what you do there is a reward of it//
☆ So they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
☆ But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”
Genesis 3:7, 9-10// - Their dress made without God was not powerful enough to cover them
- Dont take decision without Gods opinion //☆ The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
Genesis 3:21// Rely on God //
☆ Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?
☆ The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”
☆ Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”
☆ The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
// - Dont put the blame on others
- The attribute of putting blame on others is quite visible. Have the heart of acceptance //
☆ So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.
Genesis 3:11-14The curse of the women
☆ To the woman he said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children.
☆ Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.
Genesis 3:16The curse of the man
☆ To Adam he said, “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.
Genesis 3:17Prevented from goodness
☆ And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.☆ After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.
Genesis 3:22, 24// Reward of the deed
Ref : O Lord, For You recompense a man according to his work.
