Strength

I will keep my strength,

no matter how long the length.

I will travel far and wide,

just to have you by my side.

Let darkness come,

I will conquer all but one.

My inner demons I face,

let’s not let this moment go to waste.

With you next to me,

there’s no place left to hide.

Inside my tainted soul;

that’s where my demons reside.

Darkened blood pumps through these veins of mine.

With nothing but despair.

This is the last time I’ll say, “I’m fine”.

No more do I care.

So, rip out my heart

and feed it to the dogs.

Throw on it, a dart

and try and see through the fog.
