It had been a long story involving confusement and dis-loyalty (on the behalf of Callum). By the end of Nadine's sob-story Marrisa was also thoroughly confused.
Nadine looked at Marrisa and was obviously expecting advice that Marrisa didn't have.
"Well, um I think you just have to woman up and find a rebound guy!" Marrisa was faking it to make it, she literally had no idea what she was saying. She had sort of been inspired by Nadine's chic-flicks that she had made Marrisa watch.
"That is so true!" Nadine's face lit up with delight.
"Glad you have taken my advice. I'm going back up to the field." Marrisa informed Nadine.
"Wait, I'll come with. You can tell me how the game went yesterday."
Marrisa gulped because she was definitely going to find it difficult to explain to her best friend that she had finally become attracted to a boy.

They began walking along the pitch, Marrisa was being her awkward self and decided not to say anything in order to avoid something about Seb slipping out.
"So... What happened?" Nadine grilled for answers eagerly.
"It was a draw, I have to say they were almost as good as us." Marrisa told Nadine skipping over the part that Seb was the one that had increased Pinewood's standards and skills in football.
"That's interesting coming from you, Marrisa Dillons never excepts defeat!" And Nadine let a shrilled giggle come out of her mouth.Marrisa froze when she suddenly recognized a familiar boy jogging over.
Nadine had seen him too.
"Ooooh, who is this?" Nadine batted her eyelashes.
"Hey, remember me? You're the strong girl Innit? You didn't tell me your name yesterday." Seb called as he went to join the girls.
"Hi." Was all Marrisa managed to say.
"Hello, my names Nadine." Nadine said, shoving her hand towards Seb to shake. As he shook her hand, he didn't take his eyes off Marrisa.
"I'm Seb, and you are?" He asked Marrisa.
"I'm Marrisa" she squeaked.
"Sorry but I have to go now, the Pinewood boys were only allowed here to use the field for a bit so I don't wanna let that time be wasted. "Bye." He went off to meet up with his team mates.
"You should go join them and show them your skills." Nadine tried to encourage Marrisa.
"I wouldn't want to interrupt their practice" Marrisa said, although she really wanted to go over there and prove that girls were capable of anything, she was living proof of this.
"C'mon, plus I want to get to know that hottie!" And with that Nadine hurried to the boys, straitening her jacket, tucking in her shirt and finally applying some additional gloss to her lips. Marrisa sheepishly straggled behind Nadine.
"We wanted to know whether we could play with you, I mean Marrisa will. I'm crap at football." Nadine said flirtatiously as she could.
"If you insist." Seb passed the ball to Marrisa in the process. She kicked it up into a full rainbow flick, in the direction of the lanky boy she remembered from their previous match with the Pinewood boys.
"Heads!" Marrisa called out, but before he could duck the lanky boy had been hit square in the face with the football and had fallen on the ground with the force that Marrisa had impacted on the football so hard.
"Sorry..." Was all Marrisa managed to say over Seb's laughter.
"That was the highlight of my day, James? You alright?" he chuckled as he helped up 'James' from the muddy grass. James scowled at Marrisa disapprovingly.

By the end of their mini-match Marrisa had scored 7 goals by herself with the lack of Nadines backup. She was definitely the winner by tiring out Seb's mates but Seb was thoroughly impressed.
"I have to say, you might be even better than me." He threw one of his dazzling smiles at Marrisa. Her heart melted as she blushed, once again. She realised that she was letting Seb take over her mind so she couldn't let Seb think that he had that much of an effect on her.
"A girl better than you!? Well i bet thats something that your mates won't believe!" Marrisa gave him her most mischievous grin.
"Oi! Don't get cocky, that was a compliment! Don't let it get to your head." He saluted to her in a jokingly manner and then ran off to catch the bus before he missed it.
