The match had ended on a 9-9, to celebrate the draw, the Pinewood boys invited Marrisa's team for an after party in the evening. Marrisa doubted the idea of going, but then she realized she wasn't going to pass on a chance to show Seb that she didn't care about him in slightest and was going to the party anyway.

When Marrisa arrived home she raced up to her room to get ready for the party. Nadine was usually the one to pick out outfits for Marrisa on occasions like this, but in this situation Marrisa was on her own.

Marrisa threw her fox's jersey on and her cleanest jeans that didn't have mud on them. Her football boots were then replaced with her vans that were pulled onto her feet and secured tightly. She scrambled her knotty hair into an okay-ish pony tail. Now she was ready to go.

Marrisa had been told to go to James's house that was in Holchester avenue. It wasn't too far that Marrisa couldn't walk. She liked walking, it gave her time to think about her day. She had a lot of time to think now that she walked home alone. Nadine was usually the one that filled the silence with her latest gossip that she had discovered.
Marrisa thought about how much she wanted to punch Seb's face again. She also thought about how she had messed up her relationship with one of her only friends. It was starting to bother her that she might end up being the one that sits alone at lunch for the rest of her school years. But wasn't this what she wanted? No distractions that would disturb her from her blossoming football career. On the other hand, she couldn't stop thinking about these problems and they were starting to get in the way of football.

Marrisa searched Holchester Avenue for number 19. She found herself in a rather posh neighborhood that she had never passed through before. There were well-trimmed trees set up in neat lines along the avenue. The houses were extravagant, with their grand porches and outward balconies. She found the house after a long search. The garden was more spectacular than the house. In it's flowerbeds, there were tulips and marigolds in tidy rows. As she approached the door, she could feel the vibrations of a deep base coming from the music inside the house. Marrisa tried the doorbell then realized that they wouldn't hear over their loud music.
Retreating to the back of the house, Marrisa looked for a back door. The back of the house was blocked by a gate. Marrisa didn't see this as an obstacle, climbing was fun. She hitched her knee up so she could swing her other leg over and landed like a cat on all fours in the back garden. Now the back door was in sight.
Marrisa checked if it was locked and fortunately she found it open. As Marrisa continued through the house, she was greeted by tipsy girls with way too short skirts and boys trying to dance close as they could to the girls. Marrisa didn't expect their to be so many people, she thought it was just going to be the guys from Pinewood but it seemed that James had invited his whole school. She felt underdressed compared to the other girls with their sparkly dresses. All of a sudden Marrisa couldn't move, was that who she thought she saw? Nadine?
