50 Years ago, a demonic cult known as The-Blackout-Brotherhood opened a portal from their plain of Oblivion to take over and destroy Earth. The believe that the Divines left humanity to fight for themselves and that they have abandoned the people grew huge and the magical barrier that divided their realm from Earth was weakened. High-King Lexian was a strong, religious man, who never doubted in any of the Divines that rule over mankind. When the portal opened, he and his best men were all ready to take on whatever is thrown in their direction and so was the Blackout-Brotherhood.
The battle was huge and both sides lost a lot of great warriors and as the numbers came to single digits, High-King Lexian demanded a duel with the Leader of their cult, known as Sahloknir. He was a Reaper like entity, a face shrouded in darkness, eyes that weakens souls with the slightest contact, and a green mist, that would follow him around as if it was a cloak. The duel took hours and both grew tired and weak. High-King Lexian called up to the Divines and asked them to give him the strength he needs to banish Sohloknir from that day on and not long after, he gave Sohloknir one last slice with his sword, causing a huge, Ice-White explosion, knocking him back into his realm and banishing him there for eternity and avoiding the Blackout Crisis.
A few weeks have passed and High-King Lexian has grown ill, as he has gotten struck by Sohloknir's cursed scythe. The Divines were impressed and granted High-King Lexian Divine-Hood, thus becoming the first human to ascend and become a Divine. After this event, King Hanvir took his place and ruled as successor to High-King Lexian, now known as The Lord of The Hunt, and became the new High-King. The Continent exists out of 5 Major Cities, ruled by smaller kings, and the Eastern City ruled by King Hanvir. He was approached by an anonymous group and asked to sign an agreement to banish Lord Lexian's worship as they don't believe that he became a Divine and that it makes him look like a weaker King.
He accepted to sign the agreement and established a legion, his personal army, and explained to the other Kings that it was for the best of all people, to not believe in a made up Divine and that The Lord of The Hunt is a myth. King Dagon, King of The West refused to join the legion and started a rebellion in hopes of restoring Lord Lexian's worship and this caused a civil war between The East and The West. Lord Lexian was furious, and created Lycanthropy. His worshippers would have it as a gift, and anyone else, as a curse. Two months passed and King Dagon overthrew High-King Hanvir, which made him High-King and restored worship to The Lord of The Hunt.
Werewolves were now used as Monster-Hunters, to protect people from any type of threats, especially monsters. 3 Schools opened for anyone who has been gifted with Lycanthropy. Firstly there is School of the Cat, which focuses on agility, stealth and hunting especially at night. Then there is School of the Wolf, where they focus on pack work, and luring prey into a trap, and lastly School of the Viper, focusing on venom and poison and faster reflexes. Each werewolf type has their unique features and appearance and are all used as hunters and graduation is at age 21, when the werewolf is usually mastered.
And then, there's me, Malacath. I'm one of the rare people who get born with Lycanthropy, and even rarer, born with the features of the cat werewolf. Usually the gift gets picked up at 5 and older and is quite uncontrollable, like a baby pup who just wants to play around. I have pitch-black fur with a slight red tint and a white patch next to my left eye and was put into the wolf school, because of my parents. I did average in my school, not the best and far from the weakest, but this all changed when I turned 18. Being born with the Cat features and being in the Wolf school had a strange effect on me and I turned hybrid, the perfect blend between the Cat and the Wolf. I started to perform greater and became the highest ranked in my school and graduated at the age of 19, because I've mastered all of my werewolf with ease.
