I feel my body shiver and a warmth cloaks me, life starting to come back into my body. I feel a tingling sensation in my head, as if my mind is busy reconstructing itself after being damaged and links being ripped apart. It feels as if I'm floating from connection to connection. The tingling sensation stops and I keep my eyes shut. I want to see what my wolf sees only and as I "open my eyes" I notice that I'm lower to the earth and I sense my wolf fully. It works! The spell actually works!
First thing that comes to mind is that I HAVE TO TELL CIRI. I was so excited and then I realized that I don't know where Ciri is. I feel my wolf sensing me and it starts running. To my wolf's right there is a huge gorgeous forest and no matter how hard I try to think back, I can't seem to remember anything about this place or ever being here.
My wolf approaches a densely flower covered field and runs right into it. It's difficult to move through, but right now, I don't think my wolf knows where it is going. It is right up to under its eyes, but we are making quite some ground. Suddenly my wolf stands still and starts growling. I have no idea for what, but I sense the hair on its back raising. A familiar scent comes over, Strawberries with a hint of Vanilla, but why would my wolf want to attack or be afraid of Ciri?
We see a lone horse sprinting into the forest, black coat and ice white flames erupting from its hooves and an ice white mane, forelock and tail. I know that horse! Ciri mentioned it to me one night, a horse she found and rescued, one only summon-able by a person it grew to trust and they only originate from the island she was on to improve her skill in the Arcane arts, but I couldn't be sure if it was her. The rider had a dark coat on, covering her, but the colors were distinct, that smell unique. It had to be My Ciri.
I command my wolf to follow and without hesitation it started sprinting. The dense field made it hard to run through and even my werewolf being big, powerful and fast, its spirit is merely a normal wolf, with the cat eyes and muffled movement. We made it halfway and an extremely bright explosion of light blinds us, sending a horribly high pitched sound through our ears and as soon as my wolf got its sight back, it was chaos...
Everything was on fire, shards of rocks and branches shoot past my wolf. Trees get ripped apart and un-rooted and collapse and the sky turns dark as night and the fire causes a hellish red glare. Another explosion occurs, but far more downscale, opening little greenish portals and the first person coming through is... Her father? He is followed by a group of undead, green cloaked.. things. Things that I have never seen before.
How am I seeing this? This can't be all in my mind! One of those things spot my wolf and I tell it to run! My wolf starts fleeing and I un-link my sight from its. I open my eyes and in the distance I see the hellish fires, behind some low-grown trees and I get up and start running into that direction. Withing a few minutes I find myself in those trees I saw earlier and it was quiet. Undisturbed...
I see my wolf sprinting to me in spirit and my mind forces my body down onto my knees. The tingling in my mind comes back and stings. The pain is excruciating and I can't see or do anything. I don't know what's real anymore, but the only way I'll find out, is to keep going.
