Pitch Slapped

Chapter 6

Beca woke to the sound of her alarm buzzing loudly beside her. It was Saturday, and she had work today in the radio station with Jesse. She sat up, turned off her alarm and stretched before getting out of bed and throwing on a pair of black skinny jeans, a red plaid shirt and her converse. She threw on some eyeliner and grabbed a piece of toast before heading out the door and across campus to the radio station. When she got there, the door was already unlocked which meant that Jesse had arrived first. She walked in and headed towards the booth. 

''So that's the campus news for today. Now enjoy this new mix by our very own Beca Mitchell,'' Jesse was on air. He looked out the window of the booth and smiled and Beca before taking off his headphones and getting up. He walked out and grabbed her, pulling her close and kissing her hard. 

''I missed you baby,'' he whispered in her ear. Beca laughed. 

''I missed you too, but it's been a day''.

''Doesn't matter. I miss when you're gone for two minutes''. Jesse kissed Beca again, this time picking her up and spinning her around. She giggled. 

''Hey! Thanks for playing my mix again!,'' she grinned up at him, thinking about how much she loved him. 

''No problem, you know I love promoting my awesome girlfriend''. Mostly everyone on campus knew Jesse and Beca were dating. Even though a capella wasn't seen as being as cool as sports and cheer leading, most people (excluding, of course, the jocks and cheerleaders) thought that it was pretty cool and respected the groups on campus, especially The Bellas and Treble Makers seeing as they were the only ones who ever really entered competitions and got further than the first round. That, plus the fact that Jesse announced it on the radio at the end of the last academic year. 

Beca headed into the booth and sat down. She put on her headphones and scrolled through the laptop. She always did the ''new up and coming'' section on a Saturday morning. Once her track was finished playing she started her segment. 

''Morning guys. Beca here, as usual at this time every Saturday morning. Hope you all had a great night last night, and those of you who were at the riff off, thanks for coming and showing your support for your campus a capella groups. As usual I'm going to be doign the ''up and coming'' segment this morning. This week, we have tracks from on-campus singer songwriter Andy Hood, as well as a local pop-punk group The Sideways and lots more. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the next fifteen minutes of fresh new tracks, full list available on bardenradio.com''. 

When she was finished that broadcast she got up and walked out of the booth towards the shelves where Jesse was stacking CDs. She picked up a small pile and got ready to stack them, but Jesse quickly took them from her and pulled her close again. He kissed her neck and then her ear gently, before leaning in and kissing her again. He moved back towards the desk and sat Beca on top, kissing her all the while. He moved his hands to pull her shirt up over her head. Beca stopped him and pulled away slightly.

''Remember what Luke said last year. No sex on the tables''. Jesse kissed her again, biting her lip.

''Well, Luke's not on this campus anymore is he?''.

********* AUTHOR'S NOTE *********

Hey guys! Hope you're enjoying the story so far! I know it's quite slow paced at the moment but I'm building it up to a big plot twist! I'm sitting exams for the next two weeks so if updates are sparce I'm very very sorry, but I'm trying my best! Once I start my summer holiday's I'll be trying to update twice a week though :)
