An Icy Dragon's Fire: Book Two

"Destroy all threats at once"

     I ran into cave as fast as my legs would take me, "Peyton!!!!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, praying that she would hear me.  Suddenly a heard a loud slam behind me, the exit was blocked.  That also meant that Keith was locked out.

     Suddenly I heard a voice, it seemed to come from all directions.  "Hello Alli, you see I knew you would come in here after hearing your dragon, dragon tames like you will do anything for their dragon, it's disgusting."  I recognized the voice immediately, the wizard.

     "Show yourself wizard!!" I demanded.

     "Oh how rude, I have a name you know, Soren."

     "Alright then Soren," I said sarcastically, "Tell me why you lured me here."

     "To get rid of all threats at once." He said as though it were obvious.

     "To get rid- what?  that doesn't make any sense."

     "It doesn't need to, just know that the only way out of this cave is up.  Your phoenix is trapped in a cage, and your dragon is still under my spell."

     I looked up, there was a giant bucket that no doubt has lava in it.  "So you're going to kill me then."

     "Oh yes," he said a-matter-of-factly.  "But no just you."

     I looked to my right, Saki was in a cage, made of celestial bronze.. the only material that can hold magical creatures.  I looked above Saki's cage only to see a celestial bronze blade hanging a few feet above it.  It looked to be quite thin, about 2 feet long though.  And it was positioned right above Saki.  The only thing that can kill a phoenix off for good... and any magical creature for that matter.  I glared at nothing in particular.  "Where's Peyton?" I demanded.

     "Like I would tell you.  Now just get on to dying will you?"  I heard something click and the bucket of lava began tipping.  With that much lava it would cover the entire floor.

     I looked up once again and noticed something I hadn't noticed before... a box hanging from the ceiling with 5 chains... But how could I possibly get them down???

     I thought about my power I had gotten earlier this week.  I still can't control it but maybe if I can channel it enough...
