Chapter 2

"There's a date printed down there..." said Jasper. 

"OMG its 10th June... a special day indeed "said Vanessa all grinning which only left Jasper wondering how girls can get soo excited about a mere date..! 

"And the year....Jasper hold it right I'm not able to see the year.....it reads 1742...!" 

"What 1742 ?" said Jasper "And Vanessa check this out the parchment does seem old and yellow but hey it's printed...! What the heck how is it possible..!" 

"Hmmm there is another set of numbers printed below it. Have a look..."she said trying to snatch the paper out of his hands..."Its 23:45...seems more like time doesn't it "

"No shit Sherlock .."Said Vanessa with a smirk and a wink .

"...Let's meet up on 10th of June at this very tree at 23:45 what say Jas?" 

"Um...oka..." 

"Anyways cya Jas run along we gotta study for our upcoming exams if you remember is scheduled for the 12th of June "cut in Vanessa."Argh thank you Van for reminding me of the oh so wonderful exams which suck the youth out of us 16 year olds..!"Said jasper with a heavy note of sarcasm. 

"Anytime "said Vanessa with a smirk" and dare you call me van again or else...."said Vanessa with a scowl and an evil glare.

"or else what dear Van " playfully dodging his way out of her punch calling out "don't mention about this to neone not even your folks..Biee."

"Okie dokie." 

When Jasper reached his house a familiar scent of the woods surrounding his little one storey house and the sweet scent of roses mingled in the air with the smell of freshly mowed grass and..."hey isn't that mom's famous pie..! Attack..!" and shot to their small but neat little kitchen with a single aim of eating it all up. 

Then he went up to his room (a typical messy teenage room with what not strewn all around ) busying himself with his cell phone. After an hour he decided to go out to meet his friends, passing by the kitchen, he heard his mother..."Must mark up 10th June. My best friend s daughter's bday..." with the mention of 10th of June it suddenly hit him... 

"Where have I shoved the parchment..! Dang...he searched his pockets only to find a bubblegum and his phone...Racing up he pulled down the entire room to search but in vain. 

"Mom "racing to the kitchen he called out "have you seen a paper which had stuff printed on it? It was um an old yellowed paper..." 

"No Dear, I don't remember having seen it. Why  was it something related to your upcoming exams??"  

"Oh mom...nooo it was something MORE important..."said whining Jasper earning a glare from his mom. 

"Jasper..!NOTHING is more important than exams. " "uh...ya kk I get it...neways bie mom cya later..." 

"Young man..! Where do you think you are off to? If it is to your room run along" she said with a no nonsense tone which made Jasper turn grumbling up to study with only one thing running in his mind-'what do I tell Vanessa she will burn me alive...'  

"Hey Anne " said Jasper feverishly anticipating her outburst. 

"Heyy ssup, din't we just meet? You remembered me soo soon... sweet...! " Said Vanessa chuckling over the other line.  

"Don't even dream of that..!"said Jasper rolling his eyes" I um...Well...um"

"Spit it out Jas..."Cooed Vanessa.

"Ilosttheparchment" he said too nervously. 

" What?"

"Vanessa I'm sooo sorry but I lost the parchment " said jasper solemnly. 

"WHAT....?" He heard her scream from the other line...
