ELDORADO- *On hold*

Chapter-5

They were rooted to their spot.  

Struggling to get out of the imaginary clutches they were bound to, they hardly noticed two figures walk towards them. 

"The alarm has never been sounded before. The Ancient man has never spoken for 5 decades." Spoke a voice sweeter than the sweetest song of a nightingale. 

"Wonder what has aroused him from his heavenly slumber..." wondered another voice sounding definitely like a man's, having a deep baritone.  

Jasper and Vanessa were now sweating profusely, obviously fearing the two people whose voice s drew nearer.  

They also feared whoever was the ancient man they spoke about, whose voice they had just heard booming which had definitely sounded menacing. 

"Hey...! Look out there...seems like someone s lurking by." said the male voice with a hint or urgency and warning.  

Slowly they inched forward with swords drawn out. 

Vanessa couldn't control her tears.  

The only sounds were her muffled sobs and the sound of hay swishing and swaying due to the strong wind blowing past carrying the salty scent of the waters and the scent of freshly watered soil. 

Suddenly out of nowhere Jasper and Vanessa saw two swords glimmering and reflecting light from every inch of their blades. 

But instead of shrieking out of fear they were speechless, not looking at the drawn swords but the people who held them.  

Such perfection was never seen before... 

The guy, tall dark and strong jaw line with the right amount of muscles at the right places and handsome beyond words. He had flashing black eyes and dark and long hair which fell all over his broad shoulders.  

The girl being petite but yet strong and having slight muscles looked as graceful as a ballet dancer. Her long brunette hair falling past her waist only added to her ethereal beauty. Her huge almond shaped eyes light brown color with a straight nose and full pink lips dazed both of them.  

They felt like they were gazing at a goddess of war with her perfectly balanced poise yielding the sword ready to strike. 

"Who are you?" asked the guy giving a threatening look.  

Vanessa was the first to recover in a meek voice she replied "I...am Vanessa and...he is Jasper" she said when she noticed he was still speechless and obviously staring at the girl.  

The beautiful goddess-like girl cleared her throat trying to get Jasper stop staring at her open mouthedly. But in vain. 

It was only when the guy blocked his line of vision, the daze which Jasper was in broke.  

Immediately he started fidgeting obviously embarrassed and turned red in the face.  

"Who are the two of you'll? Are we guys in heaven? " asked Jasper, finally recovering from the embarrassment. 

"We aren't answering you. For all we know you might be our enemies disguised as children." spoke the girl with a clear edge of irritation and warning still holding up her poise and ready to strike any moment. 

The air remained tense for a few seconds with each expecting the other to strike first and studying each other trying to gauge who they are. 

Little did they know Jasper and Vanessa were chained with invisible chords. 

Just when the girl was going to further interrogate them, a loud blaring music broke the silence in the air.  

Flinging his sword towards the girl which she caught without any effort, the guy dug into his jeans pocket and fished out his "I PHONE...! " exclaimed Jasper who couldn't believe them to own modern gadgets especially I phone when they still yield swords and walk around. 

"Young man this is not all that shall surprise u... There is a lot more." she said with a smirk, turning to the guy who was jabbering rapidly on the phone to who ever called up. 

"WOW...!" said Vanessa, her voice reflecting awe and her eyes wide as she studied the surrounding for the first time since they LANDED down here.  

There were flowers of every type sprawled all around the lush green grass. There were red, yellow, pink, blue, violet etc color flowers all of different shapes and their heady scent thick in the air. Tall trees with dark green leaves at a distance from where they sat imprisoned formed a canopy.  

"The leaves there are glittering...!" asked a surprised Jasper overwhelmed at the beauty of this land.  

Just then the guy finished his conversation and called the girl over to where he was standing. 

"He seems to be conveying our doom I guess ." said Jasper furrowing his brows trying to eavesdrop but clearly unsuccessful as they were whispering to each other.  

"Let's wait and hear the verdict. For all we know we might be beheaded with that very sword they carry. " said Vanessa with despair, looking at the two of them walk towards the fear struck Jasper and her.

WOWIEE...!!!! m doing the happy dance bouncing up and down if u could imagine..!!! this story reached the 100 read mark :) and has reached #82 in adventure and #185 in fantasy..!!!! :) :) luvvv u all who made it happen :) i hope u liked this chapter :) if yes vote comment fan ;)

Ps:Any suggestions for the cast for the girl and the guy described up there???
