I sprint as fast as I can, forgetting everything. I abandon my plan, the other academy students, everything. My friends are in danger. As I get closer, I understand. Nishimura is attacking my old academy. As I pass through the front doors, I see bodies everywhere. Blood spatters the walls. I stare in horror. I may not have known them very well, but nobody should die like this. My eyes narrow furiously as I search around. Nishimura will pay for this. If I didn't already have a reason to end him before, I surely do now.

I don't see my friends, but I'm not really relieved. If they aren't here, I'm scared to know what he's doing to them. Knowing my friends, they'd probably try to stop him. And he'd keep them alive until I showed up. He'd know they're my friends and he'd torture them to get back at me. My searching becomes more urgent. There's still no sign of them. In fact, I haven't seen a living person yet. Worry begins to build up nearly to bursting. I have to find them quick.

They were the only things that kept me going. He tried to use them to break me, but they kept me strong. If they were dead...I don't know what I'd do. I don't think I could function. Never in a million years would I have thought I'd have friends. I would've never thought I could care so much about certain people. Suguru, Emiko, Yoji, even Genjiro. He used to be my bully and yet I consider him a friend. After I finally stood up to him, he simmered down a little.

They've all risked everything for me. I can't let them die or be hurt anymore. I'll save them, because it's my fault they're in this position. I tried to keep them out of it. They were supposed to be safe. Nishimura dragged them into this and he'll regret it. He can do whatever he wants to me, I'll gladly fight him one-on-one. But you never drag my friends into it. This was between us and nobody else. But, Nishimura was always a coward. He tried to act like a badass, but he'd rather attack the weak to get at the strong. He'd rather kill my friends than face me directly. When he found out what I was planning, he went after them.

It may not be what I planned, but I'm ending it here. Whether or not I had intended for this to happen, it happened. And I'll deal with it. I'll save everyone right now. No more games, no more fleeing. Here and now, it'll just be me and him. We'll finally battle it out and see who wins. The student or the sensei, who will be victorious? I don't even care who wins. I just want this to be over. I'll fight with everything I have. That's all that matters in the end, anyway.

I emerge into the outdoor training area and see a horrifying sight. Suguru, Emiko, Genjiro, and Yoji are fighting against Nishimura. They're all bloody and beat up. Nishimura looks completely unscathed. Suguru and Emiko are on the ground, barely able to move. Genjiro, though he looks about wiped out, keeps attacking. Yoji, though he's the best in this academy, is still not doing well. As I'm watching, Genjiro gets kicked and he hits the wall. He slides down and lays on the ground, not moving. Yoji still struggles against Nishimura. However, his sword gets knocked away and Nishimura grabs his long hair.

Nishimura stops me. "Ah, Akihito. I was wondering when you'd show up."

Emiko turns towards me. "Akihito!"

Suguru adds, "Get out of here! We can't beat him!"

"Let them go," I hiss.

Nishimura begins laughing. "Why should I listen to you?"

"Let them go now! This is between you and me!"

"I don't think I will. This is too fun. You thought you could undermine me and get away with it?! This is your punishment!"

"Stop being a coward, Nishimura!" His eyes narrow. "You've always been a coward! Face me like a man and stop using my friends as shields."

"I'm not a coward!" he growls.

"Then prove it! Fight me on equal footing!" I enter my Form. "Just the two of us!"

He smirks and tosses Yoji aside. "Fine then. Just us." He enters his Form and we stare each other down. When we clash Weapons, a shockwave sends dirt flying everywhere. He might be strong, but so am I. The sound of metal hitting metal rings throughout the air. My flames swirl around me. Nishimura's essence surrounds him with black. Even his essence looks vile. It reminds of the demons.

I draw back, only to attack viciously again. Our bodies move so fast, a normal person wouldn't be able to see anything. Even if you were a Warrior, you'd have a hard time keeping up with us. A Warrior's Trigger makes them stronger. Since mine is protecting people, I'm stronger than ever. Sure, I can manifest the change to my Form without having to use my Trigger, but it still makes me stronger. A vicious kick to my abdomen sends me flying. I hit the wall with my feet and, before I slide to the ground, I push off. My momentum slams into Nishimura, taking us both down. However, he manages to roll backwards and throw me off.

Crouched like a cat, I glare at him. I won't let him get away with all he's done. I leap at him, swinging my sword around. He dodges the blade, but my essence clips his shoulder. He reels back, his kimono on fire. He quickly puts it out and attacks. I parry his blow and kick him back a few steps. I slash out, sending my essence at him. He jumps into the air and dodges my attack. I glance around, looking for him. I turn to find him with his blade at Suguru's throat. He has a fistful of Suguru's hair and Suguru struggles weakly against him.

"What're you going to do now, little brat? You might be faster than me, but can you get here before I slit your dear friend's throat? Give it up, Akihito. Just run like you always do." My muscles are frozen. What am I going to do? I have to do something, but I don't know what.
