~Chapter 15~

Shanaya's P.O.V

"Home. Finally home." I thought.

In a few seconds I was going to be in a taxi bidding goodbye to people I love and going to meet people I also love.

"How much more stressful can this situation get?" I thought.

We began to get up and get off the plane and head to baggage claim.

Me and Elina had insisted to everyone not to come on the airport.

It would create a huge scene. Especially Namita bua (aunt).

As we got our bags and headed inside the taxi, the waterworks were going to be on their way any  minute.

I inhaled in and out to prevent myself from taking a big gasp.

We had stopped in front of Amaan and Shravan's home. 

The driver began to take out the luggage as all of us got out of the car.

Amaan and Elina were talking and he was murmuring comforting words to her.

"So this is it."

"Yes. This is it."

"Separated for a few months."

We hugged each other and I whispered.

"I love you."

"I love you as well."

"Call me."

"I will."

We headed inside the car.

Now it was time for me and my sister to part ways.

Elina's stop came and she hugged me.

"We will meet again soon." 

"Definitely."

"Bye!"

"Bye didi (sister)!"

I sighed and waited till we got in front of my house."

This was it.

I stepped carefully out of the taxi.

The lights were on in the house and I could see figures visible behind the curtains.

Nothing had changed for four years. Has it?

The driver began to unload the luggage and I began to pick it up and head to the door.

For some reason I never felt the reason to knock on my own house doors. So I slowly opened them.

As usual the same things were there and in good shape.

The glass and golden chandelier hung above me and the foyer was directly across from me.

Everything was polished and clean. I headed down the stairs from the entrance. 

Suddenly Ramu kaka (uncle) came out.

"Welcome back madam."

"Thank you Ramu Kaka." 

He took my luggage and I looked at the foyer.

Mom came out and gasped.

"Shanaya!" She screamed ingulfing me in a hug.

Dad came out.

"Heyyy! There's my girl!"

"Dad!" 

My sisters came out and hugged me.

"We've missed you so much didi (sister.)." Said Rhea and Shefali.
