Battle of the beats

Kyle was the first to begin and he performed a basic sequence to begin with, wanting to save his best moves to pull out at the last second I assume. The crowd give a little cheer, nothing major, the only people really supporting him was a group of friends who was positioned behind him that contiously shouted him out, bigging him up.

Next it was the female go. Self-conciously she took a steadily place foot forward, one infornt of the other until she was in the correct standing position to start as the music began throwing beats into the crowd, or how I thought she would have started but intead she turned away leaving her vunerable back to the crowd, slowly crouched down. She seemed frozen in place as the music continued. Seconds ticked by and she was wasting time to battle. What was she doing?

The crowd began to boo off, off, but it was in the last 10 seconds she had she placed down some moves and she explode into life as a ticking time bomb awaiting the perfect moment. A clever tactic because in that minute she delayed she had every pair of glaring eyes on her willing her to move. To do something. Everyone was so absorbed by why she wasn't moving that when she did she held everyones attention, willing them to feel the music with her, she intregued the crowd...merimerized us with her complex fast-paced original moves that never have I ever witnessed before-and trust me working with Ashley Banjo and behind the scenes of Got To Dance you would have thought that you would have seen it all. But no..she astonised us all, captured the crowd and got them to adore her in just the 10 seconds she had left to spare in the first round.

Just ten seconds!! Usually it takes minutes to fall in love with dancer, time for them to gain confidence, start up and build up the routine, but that purposuly thought out ten seconds are all that really counted. It was like the seconds between life and death that she came alive, and even in the very first round it was clear that she had won this battle and was victorious regardless of whatever moves Kyle was going to try pull out of the bag because he had nothing compared to the uniqueness, intriguing and likeable qualities to what she had. The mysterious hooded young girl who captured a crowd without them even seeing her face.

Once the battle had finished (4 rounds later) I quickly burst out of my seat, using my legs to jump and propel myself forward to break through the crowd. I had to find her-the mysterious hooded young girl. She was just within reach when I reached out, but I was too late as some young girl wearing a DV hoodie bumped into me smiling, and asking for a picture. Of course I was fustrated at the timining but I could not be mad at a fan afteral she did not know it was a bad time and it was down to the fans that I am living my dreams everyday I wake up, so I stood there for a few minuted taking selfies, chatting and even signing a few items for the young girl, thanked her and began to dismiss myself. Walking away towards the direction of the trees where I saw the hooded girl go I stumbled over some jewelrey item- no a locket.
