"Chlóe, my darling!" The King called from the court yard, surrounded by his servants and maids. Aiding to his floral garden.

"Yes, Daddy?" She nasally hummed, prancing out of the massive corridor. A soft lemon shaded dress trailing her as she hopped, fluffy white pipping circling around the bodice. "You called?" She spoke, stopping only feet away from her father.

"Yes, princess." He smiled, his hands falling behind him, and his fingers lacing together. "Walk with me, will you?" He started, planting his heel as he walked.

"Now you have reached an age, my dearest. 18 years since you were brought into this earth." He spoke proudly, glancing up at the sky.

"Daddy.." She smiled, and dramatically sighed as her father reminisced her adolescence.

"Alright, alright." He defensively brought his hands up. "But in all seriousness, I believe the time is right.. for you to marry." He finally announced to her.

Her jaw slacked, laying agape from hearing the previous news. "Daddy!" She yelped in shock. "No. Way!" Chlóe squealed. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She repeated, rushing into his arms for an embrace. The heartfelt moment only lasted seconds as she pulled from his grasp, looking up at him. "You really think I'm ready?" She asked timidly, awaiting his response.

"Of course." King Bourgeois answered, his hands flatly landing on her shoulders. "It's time."

As they began to walk back into their castle, a group of noblemen confronted the King.

"Good Afternoon, your grace." They bowed.

"Good After." He spoke, nodding his head.

As the King spoke with his nobles, Chlóe altered her path aside, landing among a checkered floor hallway and the previous Bourgeois royalty paintings. Her pace slowed, observing her Grand Parents', her Grand Parents' Grand Parents, and her Grand Parents' Grand Parents' Grand Parents. "Haahh~" She exasperated. Her future was finally beginning, and she already knew who to start it with. "Adrikinz.."

"Now, I am throwing a ball for my lovely daughter. And I'd like for you the pass along the message. Send it to all kingdoms of the land!" He told, not wanting any less for his dear Chlóe.
"Your highness, would you like the message be passed along to the villagers as well?" One curious noble asked.
"I don't care." The King shrugged. His hand landing on his chin, and almost shooing off the idea. "It's not like they'll get past our guards without question." He told, no other noblemen arguing with his word.

One lucky nobleman was chosen to go to the village of Pari, the one nearest to the Bourgeois Castle. He ushered down on horse, his golden horn blaring to gather the village people's attention. "Hear ye! Hear ye!" He called out, practically jumping off of his horse. "I have word, from King Bourgeois!" He announced and waited, letting the buzzing crowd settle. "Our dazzling Princess Chlóe, has become of age, to marry! And the King, plans on giving a ball!" He shouted, the people of Pari cheered of hope and future fortune. "With fair regards, pass along this message! Maybe even you, could be the lucky one!" He smiled, pointing to a 'possible' bachelor. Leaving on his galloping stead.

"A ball?"

A fair maiden lifts her hands towards her torso, clutching a journal in her grasp. Marinette softly began to smile, glancing at her dusty shoes. She imagined herself in flawless heels instead of her ripped flats, a beautiful flowing gown to replace her faded dress, and jewelry which would glow when light kissed them. Marinette even imagined a Prince, one with blue- no.. Green orbs which would reflect into hers. However, her fantasy was shifted when the patter of the horse passed her, causing Marinette to jolt.
