After falling asleep again at 3am, I woke up, and headed downstairs to breakfast at 7:30.
"Hey Bells." My dad said as I walked by on my quest for cereal. "Someone stopped by."
"Hello love." I heard from behind me. I would know that voice anywhere. Draco.
"Dray." I breathed, running over and kissing him.
"I've missed you too." He said, a slight chuckle in his voice. I was a bit upset that I was the only person who got to see the sweet side of him. I smiled in content as I buried my head in his chest, taking in the lemon, grapefruit, and musky scent of Draco's Creed Pure White Cologne. He'd actually given me a bottle once, saying that I could use it to make my things smell more like him.
"Go get changed, we're going out for breakfast." He said, and I ran upstairs to go find something to wear.
I pulled on a blue button up that resembles a denim shirt, and rolled the sleeves just below my elbow. I then grabbed a pair of ripped jeans and rolled them at the ankles. I added a pair of suede shoes, and a pair of aviator sunglasses, grabbed my purse, then headed out with Draco.
"Wow, cool motorbike." I said, admiring the black Yamaha XSR900 that sat in my driveway.
"Thanks. It's yours."
"You're giving it to me?"
"Yea. Now put this on." He said, handing me a helmet. He climbed on, then I did, wrapping my arms around his waist, and he put up the kickstand, then drove out of the drive and up the street.
I unbuckled my helmet as Draco parked in front of the small town diner. He offered me his hand, and helped me off the bike. It's things like these that had me blushing as red as a tomato. We walked hand-in-hand towards the diner, and he held the door for me as we walked inside.
"How many?" The hostess asked
"Two" Draco said, and we followed her to a corner booth by the window. She placed our menus down in front of us, then promptly left.
Draco and I slid in next to each other, and I felt his hand on my knee as we looked over our menus.
"What can I get you?" Asked the waitress.
"I'll have a pancakes and bacon with home fries, please." Draco said.
"I'll have the same." I told her.
"Coffee?" She asked
"Please." We both said, at the same time. She poured us both coffee, then promptly left. I waited until she was out of earshot to ask Draco the one question I had on my mind.
"How long are you in town?" I asked
"Just a couple hours." He said, then his tone became serious. "Bella, we need to talk."
"Here you go." The waitress said, pacing our food in front of us.
"Thanks." I said, and began digging in. Draco did too. We ate in comfortable silence."What did you want to talk about?" I asked as we waited for the check.
"We need to break up, Bella."
"What? Why?"
"Bella, I don't want to do this, but if we stay together, it'll be easier for him to find you."
"So why don't you stay with me?"
"You know I can't do that. He'll be able to find me, then you. This is for your safety, Bella."
"Don't say that. Just don't." I said, standing up and grabbing my jacket.
"Bella, please." He begged
"Bye Draco." I said, then walked out the door, took out my mobile, and called Charlie.
"Hello?" His gruff voice came over the other end of the line.
"Hey dad. Can you come pick me up? I'm outside the diner."
"Sure Bells. What happened? Did you and Draco get in a fight?"
"I'd rather not talk about it." I said, looking over my shoulder at the back of his head.
"I'll be there in 5."
"Thanks dad."
"Bella" came Draco's voice. "Let my drive you home."
"Nope. My dad's on his way to pick me up."
"Bella please."
"Nope."
"Bella."
"Sodd off Draco."
"If you ever need anything, just press the locket 6 times, then say whatever you need to tell me."
"Whatever. Bye Draco." I said, as Charlie pulled up, and I climbed in his car. I gave him the two finger salute out the window.Scorpius POV
I felt bad about what I just did. Bella and my younger brother belong together, a fact you know just by looking at them. But this is for the protection of them both. She needs to stay safe, and this way he won't be tempted to go looking for her. Draco know he can trust me with anything, which is why he told me about the locket. Unlike him, I'm not a death eater. When I was sorted into Ravenclaw instead of Slytherin, my parents disowned me. But the Ravenclaws are way more accepting than the Slytherins. When I started dating Carter, a Quileute Native American, who's reservation is near Forks, the Slytherins would've beaten me up for being gay, but my Ravenclaw friends begged to come with me next time Dray and I visited Bella in Forks, just so they could meet him.
I sighed, and looked at my watch. 30 seconds until I would become me again. I'm taller than Draco, with brown hair instead of platinum blonde, brown eyes instead of grey. I'm also 21, and he's 17. I quickly ran into the woods, and waited until the polyjuice wore of. 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1... I quickly looked in my mobile at my reflection, and, satisfied, grabbed my bike, and headed off to the Rez where I would ask Carter Evans to become Carter Black...yes, I renounced my family's last name when I turned 17, going with my mother's maiden name instead.
I was driving way too fast, and that's when I hit ice, and my motorbike veered off the side of the road. I think I hit a tree, then, I blacked out.
