Another Day Another Diamond

It's gone!

Chapter 2

Suddenly I remembered that I hid my watch in the dresser upstairs in my room. I ran back in side and up the stairs to my room! I looked in the dresser everywhere but the watch was gone!

"No!" I thought to myself that watch meant everything to me! Then I heard a knock on the door. I ran down the stairs and opened the door. It was my partner Luca. He had been my partner ever since the first day of work.

"Luca!" I all most screamed. " Somebody just stole my watch!" I said.

"Are you sure you didn't just put it somewhere else?" He asked.

"No I never take it out of the dresser Luca you know that!" I said frantically.

"Ok just calm down." Luca said with his deep voice.

"How can I stay calm that was the only thing if had left of my dad!" I said furiously.

"Sorry I didn't mean to yell at you." I ashamed of my self

"it's ok I know how important the watch is to you." He said calmly

" let's try sort this out tomorrow ok?" Luca suggested

"Ok I'll see you tomorrow then." I said still upset.

Later that night the image kept going through my mind. The fairly tall dark haired man with torn up clothes. He looked so familiar! The next morning I got up early as normal got dressed but before I decided to go to work I went to the window where I saw the burglar. While I was looking outside I heard someone yelling and screaming I rushed down stairs grabbed my revolver and ran outside towards the noise. All of a the screaming stopped I waited a while for the noise to come back. But all I could hear was the sound of cars passing by and honking at each other.
