The goblins had been celebrating for over an hour now. One of the goblins started to examine our weapons. One of them gasped in horror and threw it down on the floor. It landed in view of all of the goblins. All of them recognized it, The Great Goblin ran rapidly toward his throne.

"I know that sword! It is the Goblin-Cleaver, the Biter, the blade that sliced a thousand necks.

Another Goblin threw down Ringel.

"T..That is Ringel. The blade that pierced the Witch-King. The blade could turn others into ice.

As he spoke the goblins started to whip the others with chains and biting and slashing.

"Slash them! Beat them! Kill them! Kill them all! Cut off his head!"

I saw one of the goblins about to behead Thorin and in my anger, I unfolded my wings and my eyes glowed goldenly and yelled

"NO!

With all my force my wings broke the chains around everyone, the air from my wings blew all of the goblins off the others. Suddenly there was a massive explosion of blue light, everything was silent. A shockwave ripped through the area, goblins were flung in the air. Everyone was knocked down except for me. When the force of the explosion passed, most of the light in the area had been snuffed out. I looked at the figure in front of me. It was Gandalf.

"Take up arms. Fight. Fight!

Everyone quickly stood up and started to fight the goblins. As the goblins run at Gandalf, he kills them with his sword and staff. The Great Goblin, lying on the ground, sees Gandalf's sword and points at, crying aloud to his goblins.

"He wields the Foe-Hammer, the Beater, bright as daylight!"

The Great Goblin and started to swing his mace with no direction, his swings were headed toward Fili. I jumped forward and deflected the blow with Ringel, causing the Goblin to stumble backward. I looked at his feet to see he was near the edge of the platform. I sheathed Ringel and charged at the Goblin, kicking him in the gut causing him to fall into the depths below. The dwarves and Gandalf continued to fight the others.

"Follow me. Quick! Run!"

As we cut down the goblins around us, we ran along a pathway leading away from the throne room, running toward the passageways with a hundred goblins running after us. As we continued to run through the maze-like paths we ended up stuck on a bridge with goblins coming from both sides. Gandalf stomped his staff on the bridge causing it to break from the holding. We all started to plummet into the dark as we held on to the bridge for our lives.Suddenly the bridge stopped, it was caught in between the cliff. Suddenly the Great Gobin fell on the bridge.

"You thought you could escape me?"

The goblin swung his mace at Gandalf, he missed but caused the wizard to stumble back.

"What are you going to do now?"

I pulled out Ringel and struck across the Goblin's belly and held it to his neck and sliced it. The dead goblins body fell on the bridge causing it to fall once more into the dark depths. The bridge finally fell to the bottom but the dead body of the huge Goblin fell on the dwarves. Gandalf and I quickly pulled everyone out of the rubble. Kili looked up and saw thousands of goblins running toward us.

"Gandalf!"

"There's too many! We can't fight them."

"Only one thing will save us: daylight! Come on! Here, on your feet!"

The others got up quickly and ran away, following me and Gandalf.

Everyone was able to get through the exit where there was daylight. As the others continued to run Gandalf started to count the dwarves and realized that Bilbo was not with us. I had forgotten.

"Where's Bilbo? Where is our Hobbit? Where is our hobbit?"

"Curse the halfling! Now he's lost?!"

"I thought he was with Dori!"

"Don't blame me!"

"Well, where did you last see him."

I looked to Gandalf and spoke to him.

"I think I saw him slip away when they first caught us."

"What happened exactly."

As I was telling Gandalf that Bilbo had fallen through the trap door with us but I had noticed him disappear when the goblins took us Thorin interjected.

"I'll tell you what happened. Master Baggins saw his chance and he took it! He's thought of nothing but his soft bed and his warm hearth since he first stepped out of his door! We will not be seeing our Hobbit again. He is long gone."

I looked at Thorin with a disagreeing look. As I was about to lash out I heard a snap of trigs behind us.

"No, he isn't."

Bilbo stepped from behind the trees, the others looked up in shock and relief. Gandalf started to laugh as he spoke.

"Bilbo Baggins! I've never been so glad to see anyone in my life!"

Bilbo strode toward the group, he pats Balin affectionately on the shoulder.

"Bilbo, we'd given you up!"

"How on earth did you get past the goblins?!"

"How, indeed."

I looked to Bilbo as he was silent almost as if he was thinking up of what to say. He gave a nervous laugh and put his hands on his hips. Gandalf and I noticed Bilbo slide a ring into his waistcoat pocket. Gandalf looked a bit perturbed.

"Well, what does it matter? He's back."

"It matters! I want to know: why did you come back?"

Bilbo sighed as he looked at Thorin.

"Look, I know you doubt me, I know you always have. And you're right, I often think of Bag End. I miss my books. And my armchair. And my garden. See, that's where I belong. That's home. And that's why I came back, cause you don't have one. A home. It was taken from you. But I will help you take it back if I can."

After Bilbo spoke, there was silence as the dwarves thought about what Bilbo said. Gandalf smiled lightly. I smiled as well as Thorin looked ashamed of his words. I folded my wing in and closed my eyes, the golden colour faded from them. Suddenly a howl was heard on the mountain top. Orc wargs.
