The next few chapters are devoted to Avery's story! I will say when James will take the spotlight again. 😝😛
Avery looked at James. "see you on the battle field, i guess," she said, smiling.
"yeah," James grinned "I'll find someone to train me. We will win."
"Bye then." she waved at James then turned her back and walked out the metal door towards the exit without looking back.
Berlin,Germany
Wrapping her coat tighter around herself, Avery struggled through the rainy streets of Berlin. she looked around at the busy street. a man saw her looking confused "Brauchst du Hilfe, Fräulein?" he asked in a gruff voice. "ja bitte. wo ist der, die, das...?" Avery faltered. she didn't know much German. The man thought "you don't speak German very well Avery," the man smiled.
Avery stared at the man. How did he know her name?
"Come on? You don't even recognise your own brother?" He smiled widely. Note: Yes this is hugh jackman. I'm sorry.
"Logan!" Avery voice filled with happiness at the sight of her older brother. She ran forward to hug him. "How are you lil sis?" he asked.
"Im good." She replied ecstatically.
"Where do you need to go?" Logan asked. "I'll take you there,"
"I don't want your help," she said, sheepishly. "Why not?"
"It's-it's about mum ," she trailed off. Logan looked at the ground and sighed.
It was going to have to happen at some point. "At least stay and rest at my house."
Avery agreed.
