Chapter 4

Raven's POV

I was home by 10pm. Claire left as soon as I arrived, even though she was meant to stay and care for us. Elsa was in bed and had been ever since I left. I took my phone out of my pocket and saw that I had a text message from Andy.

Andy: Ring me as soon as you get this!

Sighing, I dialed his number and waited.

"Hey Raven." He answered after the second ring.

"Hey, I got your text." I tried to make my voice sound as if I hadn't been crying.

"Good." He sighed in relief. "Claire said that you had something important to tell me."

"That bitch is the oldest of the family, and she leaves it to me to tell you..." I shook my head, I was really angry with her.

"Raven, what's wrong?" Andy asked, sounding worried.

"Mom's dead." I started crying. There was a silence on the other end of the phone.

"She's dead?" Andy whispered.

"She committed suicide. Drowned herself." I sobbed. "I found her."

"I'm coming home now." Andy said.

"But your meant to be on tour, your going to disappoint fans." I protested.

"Family comes first." Her argued. "Besides, you and Elsa are going to be taken away, either to dad's or care. I'm going to do anything to make another option."

"Okay..." I sighed, giving in.

"See you soon." He said and the line went dead.

I threw my phone onto the counter and stood staring at the wall of pictures. They were pictures of my mom, me, Andy, Claire, Elsa... They were all pictures that contained happy memories. I stared at them for a good ten minutes until I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I turned round and saw Elsa.

"Can I sleep with you tonight?" She asked.

I nodded. "Of course."

I walked over to her and took hold of her hand. I walked up the stairs with her and to my room. She waited on the bed for me before she finally fell asleep. This was going to be a long night.

My alarm started buzzing, telling me that it was time for school. I didn't want to go to school, but I knew that Claire would make me go one way or another. I got out of bed and got dressed, so did Elsa. I was going to take her to Pete's house for the day to get her mind of things.

"Raven, can I go to school?" Elsa asked.

I nodded. "Sure, if you have any problems, you get them to ring me."

She nodded and waited for me. I made her some breakfast and sat with her until she was ready. Once she was completely sorted for school, I grabbed the car keys and we hopped into the car.

Elsa was at school on time. I went into the reception and asked to talk to the principle. The principle came out and showed me into his office.

"It's nice to meet you Miss?" I forgot that he didn't know me.

"Miss Biersack." I said. "I'm Elsa Biersack's older sister."

"Oh, well what did you want to talk about?" He smiled.

"Yesterday, our mom passed away. I wasn't going to bring her in today, but she wanted to come here." I explained.

His face fell. "I'm so sorry to hear that. Is she taking it well?"
