Pete's POV

It was different without Raven around. We hadn't spoken to her in 2 weeks. None of knew why. I was kind of worried to be honest. Only, I couldn't show that because of Bree. Yes, I was still dating Bree. I did love her, but there was still a little part of me that loved Raven.

We sat round the lunch table quietly. The only person talking was Bree. I don't think anyone was paying attention.

"When do you think we'll hear from Raven again?" Kellin said, interrupting Bree.

"I don't think we will hear from her." Jack sighed. "She's probably with that Dylan kid."

"Were you guys even listening to me?" Bree snapped. "Pete, tell them to listen to me."

"Guys, listen to her." I didn't look at anyone.

"You don't even care that Raven has forgotten us." Patrick hissed.

"I guess you prefer it that way." Brendon then said.

"Yeah, they're right." Alex nodded. "You don't care."

"He better not care!" Bree snapped. "I'm his girlfriend, not her! She was just a worthless peace of crap that likes getting the attention!"

"You ruined everything Bree! Ever since you came here, Raven changed! She became more distant!" Joe shouted.

"It's Pete's fault as well!" Andy spat. "He brought Bree over to us!"

"I'm glad he did!" Bree stood up. "I love him! That bitch was just using him!" She looked at me. "Come on Pete!"

I looked at her and then back at the guys. They all looked pretty pissed. She was seriously making me choose between her and my friends. My only friends.

"Go on then Pete, go with your little girlfriend." Kellin hissed.

"Fine." I hissed and stood up, following Bree.

I had ruined everything. I hadn't realised that until now. Bree ended up sitting with Ashlee and all the jocks. They accepted her, but didn't really accept me. I wish I had broken up with Bree when I had the chance.

Raven's POV

The past 2 weeks have been dreadful. My dad went out drinking every day and night. He was so bad that he would either hit me, or throw something across the room. He had smashed up my cell phone and my laptop, meaning I couldn't contact anyone. Not only that, whenever my dad went out during the night, he would bring home a prostitute. We were running out money because of it.

He never hit Elsa, and there was a reason for it. I made sure that as soon as Elsa came home from school, she went straight to her room and stay there to hide. She understood why and followed my instructions. She didn't like the fact that I took the beating, but it was the only way to keep her safe.

Dylan was now my boyfriend, even though I felt nothing. I didn't love him, I was just dating him to keep him happy. He loved it when I told him that I couldn't talk to my friends in America. I hated it though.

I was at school, it was nearly the end of the day. I sat in art, drawing pictures of the gang back home. I missed them so much.

"Who are they?" Dylan asked.

"My friends." I sighed. "Patrick, Kellin, Brendon, Jack, Alex, Joe, Andy and... Pete."

"They don't seem like the people you'd hang round with." He stated.

I just looked at him and then continued with my work. The bell rang, I was quick to leave the room.

"Raven, wait!" Dylan called after me.

I stopped and turned to look at him. "What?"

He came over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"You should come to my place. You can meet my parents and we can have some fun." He winked.

"I would, but I can't." I looked down. "I need to pick up Elsa from school."

"I'll come with you." He smiled. "We can drop her home, and then you can come to mine."

"I really can't." I shook my head.

"Why not?" His face saddened.

"I can't say." I sighed. I quickly pecked his lips. "I have to go, see you tomorrow."

"Bye." He sighed as I walked out of his grip.

Dylan knew nothing about what was happening at home, and my dad didn't know that I had a boyfriend. He knew, someone would get hurt. I wasn't going to take that risk.

I got to Elsa just in time, and walked her home quickly. As soon as we got in, she ran up to her room. I walked into the lounge and surprise, surprise, dad was sat on the couch with a bottle of beer.

"So, you have a boyfriend." He hissed when he saw me.

"How did you find out?" I whispered.

"He knock on our door earlier, looking for you." He explained. "I got rid of him."

"You better not have hurt him." I hissed stalking over to him.

He stood up. "No, I didn't."

That's when he hit me. I think it was a punch, certainly felt like it. It caught my lip, and soon enough, I felt blood dripping down my face.

"No boyfriend's." He snapped and then stormed out of the house.
