Raven's POV

I officially hated school. This new school that I had been signed up to was worse then the one in Chicago. We had to wear a uniform that consisted of a shirt and tie, with black skirt, cardigan and black shoes. The people at the school were all back stabbers. None of the girls were nice. They all pushed me over, called me names, and yet none of them knew me.

Dylan was my only friend. Turns out that he was in all of my classes, so I stayed with him all day. He an alright guy, but the more I was with him, the more I wanted to see my friends back home. He isn't like the gang. They can take banta, we can have a joke together, I could actually tell them everything. With Dylan, he couldn't take banta. The jokes I would make would make no sense to him. I can't tell him that much about me, because all he wants to talk about is Andy. It's like that's the only reason he's friends with me.

The final bell rang, and I walked out of the gates with Dylan. For once he wasn't talking to me about Andy.

"Where abouts in America are you from?" He asked.

"Chicago." I sighed. The more I though about the place, the more homesick I felt.

"That's in Illinois right?" He guessed.

"Yep." I nodded.

"What are the schools like over there? Was you popular?"

"The schools are okay, better than this school. And I wasn't that popular..."

"How many friends did you have?"

"About 8. And they weren't just friends, they were my best friends."

"They were all girls right?"

"Nope, all boys."

As soon as I said that, he expression went from happy, to sort of sad. Like he was hoping that he could be my boy best friend.

"Why weren't any of them girls?" He questioned.

"I never got along with any of them." I shrugged. "I became friends with the boys because they accepted me."

"How close are with the boys?"

"Very close." I looked down. "They're like brothers to me."

"Oh..." He sighed. "Did you date any of them?"

"I dated one of them." I admitted. "I started dating him when I turned 15. It felt weird because he felt like my brother. He agreed, and we broke up when I was 16."

It fell silent then. Dylan left after a few minutes to catch the bis home. I however, had to walk. I got out my head phones and plugged them into my phone. A song that Patrick recorded for me started playing. It was called 'Sugar We're Going Down' and it was one of my favourite songs. I couldn't help but sing along to it, and before long, I had it playing on repeat.

I finally got home. I walked in and found my dad on the couch. He looked as if he had been drinking. I slowly walked over to him and stood over him.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"She left me." He words came out a bout slurred.

"Why did Sam leave you?" I whispered, not really wanting hear the answer.

"Because of you and that little rat." He looked up at me.

"Dad, your drunk." I sighed, ignoring what he had just said.

"So?" He spat.

"I don't want you being an alcoholic again." I explained.

"Tough." He hissed. "You and your sister ruin everything for me. I wish I never took you two back here with me."

"You didn't have to drag us out here." I spat. "And we ruin everything? We wasn't the ones who ruined your marriage with mom. We didn't ruin this, who did."

"You think you can get away with anything, but you can't." He chuckled.

"Where's Elsa?" I asked, changing the subject.

"Still at school." He led down on the couch. "You can pick her up. I'll put a roof over your heads, but I am not caring for you."

I walked out of the house. I was going to give him a chance, but he's just ruined it. Looked like me and Elsa was on our own.

I walked to her school and went into the reception. The lady behind the desk smiled.

"How can I help you?" She asked.

"I'm here to collect Elsa Biersack." I smiled back.

"Of course, and you are?" She questioned.

"Her sister." I informed her.

"Okay, I'll get her now for you." She got out of her seat and left.

A few minutes later, Elsa came over with the receptionist and another lady.

"Hi, I'm Mrs Jenkins, the head teacher of this school." She held out her hand.

I quickly shook it. "Raven, Elsa's sister."

"I don't mean to intrude, but why were you so late picking her up?"

"Our dad was meant to pick her up. Unfortunately, something had come up at work, so he asked me. I don't have an English drivers license and didn't want to get caught not having one, so I walked." I explained.

"Oh, okay." She smiled. "I'll see you tomorrow Elsa."

"Bye." Elsa waved.

She took hold of my hand and we started our walked home.

"I though dad didn't work?" She questioned.

"He doesn't." I sighed, not looking at her.

"Then why did you tell the teacher that he was at work?" She asked, sounding confused.

"Remember when dad used to drink a lot?" She nodded. "Well, that's happening again."

"Is he going to become violent again?" She whispered.

"Hopefully not." I sighed.

We got home and Elsa went straight to her room. Dad was no where to be seen, which meant I had to cook dinner. I picked up a frozen pizza and shoved it into the oven. When it was cooked, instead of calling Elsa to come downstairs, I took the pizza to her.

"Dinner's ready." I announced as I walked into her room.

"Thanks." She smiled.

We ate the pizza in silence. There was a massive bang coming from downstairs. Dad was home then, probably more drunk than before. Once we were finished with the pizza, I told Elsa to stay in her room whiles I took the plates down. Dad was in the lounge and I walked in after putting everything away.

"Your back then." I sighed.

"Fuck you Raven!" He shouted. "Where's my food?!"

"I'm not you fucking slave!" I shouted back. "If you aren't going to do anything for me and Elsa, then we aren't going to do stuff for you!"

"You do as I tell you!" He hissed. "I'm the adult!"

"Then act like it!" I spat.

He grabbed Elsa's Nintendo DS and threw it across the room. As did that, Elsa walked into the room, and saw everything that happened. I glared at my dad until I heard Elsa crying. I walked over to her and hugged her.

"I'll buy you a knew one." I whispered. I turned to my dad. "You happy now?"

He ignored me, and sat on the couch, turning the Tv on. I took Elsa to bed, and stayed with her until she fell asleep before going to bed myself.
